C C Beauty Salon is a pretty good salon for getting a hair cut. The workers are really nice over there and, of course, they will cut your hair in the style that you want and request. I haven't tried any of their other services like shampooing, dye, etc., but I would recommend them. I like places that provide the customer with a nice cut and clean accessories.

9PM Ace Hardware & Paint mostly sells the little items, such as nuts and bolts, that people try to find around their house. They have the common items that one would be looking for, but they don't sell the more custom items that a place like Home Depot would. It's a good local store to go to if you're looking for something really common for reasonable prices. Parking is hard to find, though.

You could spend hours just searching through all their stuff--new, old, and rare. This place is pretty popular around here, and I often see people sporting the Amoeba Music t-shirt. It's great!

They have a wide variety of brands to choose from, and their stuff seems fresh. Their produce is much cheaper than buying from Safeway or Albertson's. The only problem is that it's extremely hard to find parking nearby. People often double park in front of the store. Lines can also get long on weekends, so plan accordingly.

They serve some Asian desserts like almond jello and cookies, but they also have a little ice cream bar for those who want American sweets. It's better to go on weekdays because that's when prices are cheaper. On weekends and holidays, you can expect to pay $20 per person.

They have so many flavors to choose from, including seasonal flavors like peach, berries, etc. You can opt for the traditional cones or cup, or buy yourself a gallon of ice cream. Since their ice cream is specially made, they charge a little more than other places. Still, it's the place that you must try at least once!

Their menu consists of the typical Japanese food, such as sushi, teriyaki chicken and beef, tempura, donburi, udon, etc. Their dishes are priced at a decent amount, although you can't really find cheap Japanese anywhere in the city. Their teriyaki chicken dinner left me stuffed, and I have definitely gone back for more.
