Modern Design Salon is located on Irving St--meaning that there is absolutely no parking! Anyway, if you can find a spot or walk there, you're in luck. The workers there are nice and skilled. Best of all, their prices are cheap. I even got a manicure there once, and it turned out great. They did a great job considering how much I paid. When I went, there weren't that many people waiting. I only waited a good 10-15 minutes. The biggest thing is parking. Once you get that down, their services are great.

American Rag is probably the best vintage clothing store in San Francisco. They offer so many cool new and used vintage clothes. I find their clothing really trendy and up to date. I usually pass on their used clothing, because they're overpriced for something with holes in them. I love their new items, but they cost so much! That's why I always check out their sale items. That's your best bet. Check out the new sale items ALWAYS.

Ambiance sells really nice women's clothing, but their prices are a little steep. The reasoning behind these prices is that they're designer clothes. All of their clothing is flashy and hip, but mature at the same time. They also have some really unique designs. It's just fun looking through all of their clothes, and to top it off, their customer service is great. Most of their clothing is worth the splurge.

I was strolling down Haight St one day and decided to check out Kweejibo Clothing just out of boredom. I had no intention of buying anything since this was men's clothing, but my opinion could not be swayed after I saw the prices! I mean, sure, the material for their shirts is nicer than other places, but they overcharge. I'm talking about $80 for a shirt! Haight St never has any cheap clothing, but I've seen nicer for that amount.

Pacific Supermarket offers an array of cheap Asian foods and produce. It's very similar to Sunset Super, but this store is located in a better area, parking wise. All of their produce is extremely cheap...it beats going to an American supermarket, since you can get the same produce for cheaper. They also have many Asian frozen foods and packaged goods. You can get a whole weeks groceries from this one market (and at low prices too).

Andronico's Deli and Market is one of the better supermarkets in San Francisco. Their shelves are always neatly stocked with many food items, even some hard to find imported ones. What I like best about the market is their selection of meat, fish, and deli. All of their selections are always fresh, and their produce is always superb. But, all of this outstanding food isn't light on the pocketbook. You should expect to fork over a few extra bucks,, but I think it's worth it for the quality of food that you'll be getting. You could probably skip their packages items if you're low on cash, but their meat, fish, and deli are must try.

Rainbow Grocery offers a great selection of organic and natural foods. This is one of my favorite stores to purchase organic foods from because of their selection, their prices, and their workers. Their prices are pretty cheap considering the quality of food that you're getting. Their pasta and sauces are really cheap. They also have a great selection of wheat and other kinds of breads. Overall, I go get groceries from there often.

R & T Market is a typical, but nice, corner store. They sell the usual convenient store groceries, junk food, liquor, etc. but what makes them stand out is that they offer a great variety of gourmet sauces. I was recommended by a friend to check out their selection, and boy was she right! I forgot the brand of marinade that I bought, but it was tasty. Their prices aren't bad either. But what I really enjoyed was their selection of sauces that other stores don't typically sell.

23rd Irving Supermarket sells really cheap produce and Asian foods. Their selection can compete with bigger stores in that area. The only problem is that parking is hard to find, their produce is hard to scrummage through, and the store is quite dirty. But, their prices are what attracts their customers. If you can stand the smell for 10 minutes, it can save you a few bucks.

They also sell nice roses...good for Valentine's Day. Their gourmet baskets filled with fruits and snacks also make great gifts. Items are priced reasonably. And best of all, they also deliver!
