Street Light Records is a small music store that buys and sells used CDs, DVDs, and videos. They have a pretty good selection of rare CDs and such, all at low prices. They sell used music from all the genres, and they have quite a selection of underground stuff. Don't expect a lot of money for your used CDs though. Usually they don't pay more than a few bucks credit, but it's better than other stores.

Noriega Produce (near 32nd) sells a lot of produce and Asian produce. They set up stands outside of their store during business hours filled with fruits and vegetables. They also have stands of produce inside their store. They specialize in a lot of Asian vegetables. Most of their produce is very fresh and cheap. Their prices are way cheaper than supermarkets. The inside of their store isn't the cleanest, but it's alright, considering it's an Asian store on Noriega.

Pirro's Pizzeria sells their pizza for a few dollars more than other pizzerias, but their pizza is delicious. Their sizes are kind of small, but their fresh ingredients make up for it. Their crust is extremely crispy, never soggy. They put just the right amount of cheese and sauce. If you're looking for cheap pizza, this isn't the place to go. But, if you're looking for delicious pizza that beats out the chain pizza places, this is the place to go.

Jamba Juice is THE place to go to get a smoothie. Their menu offers a great selection of different smoothies and juice, from practically any fruit blend to chocolate or green tea. Now that's variety. They offer two sizes to choose from, and the regular size is always the better deal (they're huge too). Each smoothie also contains 3-6 servings of fruit, so they're healthy too. I've tried so many smoothie places around the world, and nothing is better than Jamba.

Kinokuniya Bookstore specializes in Japanese magazines and books. Books are stacked high, and shelf after shelf. It's endless. This place is just like some of the book stores in Japan, or at least it reminds me of it. They offer a great selection. They also sell some Japanese related books that are in English. This is a hot spot to visit if you're into Japanese books and magazines.

City Lights Bookstore is just a great book store in San Francisco. It's well known, and it's history...for a good reason too. They have a lot of books that you can browse through, but what I really love is the feeling you get when you're in there. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. They host a lot of readings and signings as well. Overall, this is one bookstore you must visit if you're in the Bay Area.

Friend sells very modern and colorful home furnishings, but not for cheap. Their stuff is pretty unique and innovative, but I've seen better stores around that area (and for cheaper). Their lamps and light fixtures are really cool and funky, but they're quite pricey. It's fun browsing through their stuff and ideas...but that's about it. I suggest you browse around a few others stores first to compare.

Propeller sells very hip and quirky furniture. Their stuff is also modern and stylish. A lot of their items like their tables seem a little over the top...like they're so modern that I wouldn't see them fitting in or matching in my house. It's fun to browse through their displays and feed off their decorating ideas...but that's about it (also a bit pricey). I feel that if you want to buy an item from here, you'll have to redo the entire room because it wouldn't match. Very trendy place, though.
