It's hard to imagine that Archibald Sisters has been around for 25 years now. You walk past the funky display windows, and everything is as new and as hip as if it were a brand-new, not-going-to-last-a-year kind of place. And I'm sure they do good business with the various themed gift items they offer (think Spencer's, but less creepy and better quality), but the real business is in the back of the store, at the scent counter.
Here is where they mix up various lotions, perfumes, and soaps, either in their various house scents or blend according to the customer's whim. It's something that has caught on in other stores recently, but seems so strange that Olympia of all places has had this luxury for some time now.
