I am most impressed by the quality of the service at Union Square Optical. I had to reschedule my eye exam a few times, but the staff on the phone were always friendly. They are also very patient when answering questions. You can simply tell they are happy beings when you see them in person.

Perfectly situated adjacent to a beach, this amusement park offers some old school (and, indeed, old) stalls and games. Its Ferris wheel is the only one that scares me because of how it swings especially when you ride with the maximum number of people. Cyclone, the wooden roller coaster, will give you a thrill simply because the wood shakes!

Price Wise Discount may look as untidy as Duane Reade stores, but much of its merchandise is carried at lower prices than most other pharmacies. The only exceptions may be bath and body products. One thing I like about this store is that it offers samples of salon brands such as Redken and Paul Mitchell at really low prices.

This place closes early at 7:30pm Monday through Saturday and 6pm on Sunday!

This upscale grocery store cannot compete in terms of prices with Faiway right next door. Most people go to Citarella for fresh meat or seafood. I go there for their gorgeous looking cakes for special occasions – they are comparable to those from bakeries. One thing I don’t like about this place is it closes early at 8pm.
