Thai Taste is a new Thai restaurant that has delicious food. Everything is incredibly fresh and tastes great, and you can get your food spiced on scale of 1-10. The atmosphere is very airy and modern. Their panang curry is delicious, but I always go for the lunch special. For $5.50 you get a soup, egg roll, steamed rice, entrรฉe, and an iced tea. Thai taste has brought some welcome variety to Carbondale.

They are available in a basket with fries, coleslaw, etc. The prices are reasonable though, and it's a good place if you just want a quick bite to eat.

We stumbled upon this place one day, while we were looking for breakfast. The line was out the door, so we figured it was a good bet. Despite the long line, we only waited about 15 minutes to get a table. The service was fast and the food was delicious. I highly recommend the pancakes.

New Kahala is the best deal in Chinese food you can get in town. Most dishes are under $5 and come with steamed rice and a choice of soup or egg roll. Everything is prepared when you order and the vegetables are fresh and delicious. The wait can sometimes get close to 30 or 45 minutes when it gets busy, but you can always call your order in ahead. I eat here at least once a week.

Whenever I'm in the Loop around dinner time, I usually head to Blueberry Hill. All their sandwiches, especially the burgers, are tasty. I've also sampled some of their deep-fried offerings: chicken fingers, Mozzarella Sticks, fried zucchini, onion rings and French fries and they are always hot and crispy. Other pluses include the wide selection of pinball machines and the dart boards.
