I had gotten into a minor car accident denting my fender cracking the headlight and scratches to the front bumper. I also drive a Ford Mustang. T&J is located in chinatown and deals mostly with japanese cars a.k.a hondas, nissans and toyotas. They had absolutely no clue what to do with my car. They ended up trying to bang out the fender, replaced the headlamp and did a shifty paint job on the bumper. It looked disgusting. They also tried to charge me $900 in labor and a total of $1300. A friend of mine had a similar accident in his civic and it cost like a little less than $300 to fix. Long story short, bring in an American car and get robbed, bring in a more familiar Japanese car and get the deal of your life. Go figure.

This dentist is great for children all the way up to the teenage. The waiting room is packed with video game consoles and can accomodate up to 20 kids at once. It's perfect for the kids that get nervous before a checkup or even for parents who don't want to deal with out of control kids. Dr. Lyons accept most dental insurance but be careful, sometimes the minimum wage receptionist may bill you for the wrong exams so double check your invoices!

I like to get manicures not just for the nails but for the friendly chatty environment. Perfect nail & Body Salon is the complete opposite. The staff is very average and they don't speak much english and the conversation they spark up usually end up concerning the weather or some earthquake in some random location. Although the nails come out fine and I end up with more money in my wallet, I rather go to someplace in SoHo where I can catch up on my daily gossip!

Grace is one of the best dentists in New York City. She believes in painless dentistry and teaches at the New York University during the day. She practices through appointment only so you would need a referral to be seen. It's a one woman job but she handles everything very professionally. I had my teeth cleaned, 4 fillings, no pain. 20 minutes. It's located in midtown so it's also very convenient if you work around the area. She also takes most dental insurance.

Been here couple times, once to get a chinese character inked on my upper back, twice for butterflies inked on my girlfriend and another time to get a chain inked on my right bicep. The guys there were are very professional when they tattoed my gf, I sat there watching and not once did they attempt to grope her or get a cheap feel (not something you can say about most tattoo parlors). The Chinese character could've looked better but I had brought in a calligraphy drawing that could've looked better so he improvised a lot of it. The butterflies were very colorful (they're great with color) and detailed. The chain was awesome and just another day in the park for them. Prices are raesonable so I wouldn't mind going back.

A buddy of mine wanted to get his name tattooed onto his back for his birthday, I of course had to sit there and watch the artist do it. Most tattoo parlors have trouble inking small words in Old English font because of the thin lines but this guy had it down perfect. The words came out sharp and he was able to add the flame tips at the end of each word. Very cool stuff. Two years later the words still look sharp.

If you’re looking to get a tattoo then there are plenty of choices in New York City. If you’re looking for a clean, safe experience then Abstract Tribal Tattoo may not be the place for you. On the outside it looks like a grungy gang hangout, it’s quite small inside and you might feel a little claustrophobic. The art however is quite good and variety is plenty. I had a dragon done on my back and needless to say it was one of the best anyone has ever seen, the artist pays a lot of attention to detail but doesn’t care how much pain he inflicts. If you can take the pain and are really serious about your tat, I would recommend this. But if you are looking for a regular looking butterfly on your ankle, try something more commercial.

Located on the outskirts of Chinatown, Koh is very open minded on teaching anybody willing to learn the ancient art. Classes are flexible around your schedule but be prepared to test your body to the limits! Patience, discipline and determination are the keys to success. Don’t expect to fight like Bruce Lee overnight but concentrate on the exercise and fitness aspects to fully enjoy this experience.

Take those books into 6 dimly lit rooms and just enjoy with some chai, fruit or nuts in the waiting room. I come here on the weekends just to relax and read, and the hot chai is unbelievable.
