I too would give zero stars if Judy's book made that technically possible. This company is terrible, ridiculously over priced and more a scam than a legitimate plumber, in my opinion. I called for an estimate on a simple leak (hole) in an exposed pipe.
Of three companies called, Southwest made a bid 3 to 4 times more expensive than the others. They also claimed an entire section of house plumbing needed to removed and installed new. Southwest also quotes in fixed prices. So while the prices are set, you as a consumer have no way of knowing how much of that price is for labor, materials, mark up, etc.
Our simple leaks was fixed by an old fashioned, honest plumber for about 1/3 of what Southwest quoted. If you consider using Southwest, call the Attorney General's office to check their complaints. To no suprise, today's PI lists Southwest as one of the worst plumbbers in the state:

Metzker Maps is a map store. They carry maps of everything. Local maps. Regional maps. Maps of foreign cities and countries. Maps of parks and trails. If you are the type who is curious about places and how things are laid out, you will be like a kid in a candy store here. they can help with nearly everything, other than getting your husband to actually read the maps once you are lost.

Seattle has some fantastic book options, like Elliot Bay, Bailey Coy and others. but sometimes a curious reader is just looking for a good deal on something new or different. Half-Priced books can be a good option in that situation. Books are always at least half their cover price and often less. They usually have a good selection of general fiction, popular fiction, cook books and poetry. They carry other genres and some computer software and games as well. One caveat- they tend to offer sellers very little when buying books from you.

It may surprise some folks just how many people are hungry and not making ends meet in our community. From what I have seen, many of these families are working poor. They work full time or more but have little or nothing left due to cost of living in the area. Northwest Harvest seems to do a very good job of helping people who really need it. They can get a meal or a bag of groceries designed to feed a family. How a community takes care of its members in need says an awful lot about it. Northwest Harvest does a good job of making lives better in our community and we are all better off for it.

KPLU is a public station that plays a broad range of interesting jazz. There are shows that might focus on classic bebop. Others might feature the new generation of up and coming players. You might hear Brazilian music or quiet storm, or super funky stuff from Roy Ayers or Fred Wesley. KPLU will often take a familiar standard but play a version by someone not associated with the song. Many times it will make the listener hear a familiar song in a new way and appreciate the complexity and life in an overly familiar song. Jazz and blues are an under appreciated natural fit with Seattle's climate and environment, in my opinion. KPLU offers a cool way to enjoy America's musical heritage anytime.

It seems odd that a city and region with as great a musical heritage as Seattle would have such lousy radio stations. Most are unimaginative, have terribly small rotations and are owned by corporate outsiders with no connection to Seattle. Fortunately, we do have KEXP, one of the last great radio stations.
KEXP plays new music, rock, techno and dance. They play local bands trying to break out. They play fantastic rockabilly, country and soul. They have one of the best blues shows in the country. All without commercials and mindless chatter. Listen to KEXP randomly throughout the day and week. And realize how great radio could be. At least it still is with this outpost.

The ferry system here provides a terrific service for commuters, campers and people headed to the Olympics and the coast. But I think the ferry can be a great under appreciated way for out of towners to appreciate and enjoy Seattle and the Puget Sound area.
If you are staying in Seattle, the ferry to Bainbridge Island is a 30 minute each way trip that lets you get awesome views of the Seattle skyline and Elliot Bay. The town of Winslow (on Bainbridge Island) is a pretty, picturesque place to window shop and grab some lunch before heading back. All for a minimal amount.

Tillicum Village involves taking a boat tour from downtown Seattle to Blake Island. Blake Island is essentially a park reserve island in Elliot Bay. The boat ride to the island takes 30 minutes or so. It is a fun, narrated tour describing various sites along the way. It's also a pretty way to see the city from a different perspective.
The dinner at Tillicum Village is basically a salmon dinner meant to evoke a potlatch. There is a dinner show of Native American dancers and storytelling. It can feel a bit hokey, but tourists, kids and grandparents especially seem to have a really good time.

EMP Music Museum is a mixed bag, in my opinion. If you really love rock music, there is lots to see and enjoy. The exhibits on Northwest music in general and Seattle in particular are very good and informative. (How odd that much of the best surf music of the 1960's came out of Tacoma!) There have been interesting and well though out traveling exhibits too, although these appear to be suspended at the moment. The Frank Gehry designed building itself is worth a visit. Love it or hate it, Seattle could use all the interesting architecture we can get. However, $20 admission is way too much for this type of museum. That is twice as much as it costs to see the greatest art and culture in world history in places like the Vatican, Ephesus or most museums in Rome and New York.
