Anybody that is hanging out in governement center with a small child should probably check out this place. I say small child because they seem to pander to the 10 and below crowd. Some toy stores you can go to and find adult games like Balderdash, but this store definitely does not have things like that. It is fun to go to, however, if you are with a kid.

It is great for buying things for bachelorette parties, or even bachelor parties. It is not a 'dirty' store like some of the places in Montreal, it does make you embarassed to come in here anyway. They also have speciality item in back, you just have to ask for them.

I personally enjoy bookstores that have not made it to the corporate level yet; therefore, any bookstore that qualifies is definetly high above Barnes and Noble or Borders. I like this place, not as much as the Brattle or the Booksmith, but it has its own charm. Definitely recommened it if you are of the same opinion as myself.

Cheapo is certainly that. They have way way way better prices than mainstream stores. For a CD that Virgin Records would charge 21 bucks for, you can buy the same damn thing at cheapo for 10. It is almost ridiculous. It is especially cheaper for independent labels which if you try to buy anywhere else will cost you twice as much. I am a big fan of not overpaying so I like this place.

This practice is now know as Cellai Law Offices, its former working title was Cellai & DeNauw, LLP, but they specialize in collections matters, and do a very good job. It is not necessarily only collections, but that's the bulk of it. It is a small firm with 3 layers and a few paralegals, but they are all dedicated workers. They have a winning record and many impressive clients.

I went to CD Spins a few weeks ago to look at the music section and since I knew I was going, I decided to take some stuff i wanted to sell that is old or just crappy (i.e. Cabin Fever). I took the my old items and earned a pretty good (averaged out to about 8 bucks a piece). They did not pay that much for used CD's, but more than other places. They however, do not have an incredible selection of stuff, if only wanting to buy, I would go to another store.

This is definitely a great place to go pick out a book and read for a while. It is also open until 11p.m.

This theater is one of a kind. Here they show really good old movies, the essential classic films. Last month was dedicated to Hitchcock (one of my personal favorites). Sometimes the dedicate a month to a great actor or great director and show their films. They also show independent films, which is a rare thing nowadays. Basically, I have never seen a bad movie here and I've been going for 3 years. Top notch.

I really like this bookstore, definitely on pare with Avenue de Victor Hugo. I particularly like it because they buy used books and generally pay more than any other place, really convenient for all those books I used for one class and never want to read again. They are pretty leiniant with moderately damaged books, I mean they do not have to be in mint condition or anything. They have a lot of stuff and is a pretty fun place to go read, they aren't open on Sunday, but they are every other day of the week.

Boston Bowl has spectacular and cheap candlepin bowling. They even have some sort of discount only on candlepin from Tuesday-Friday I think in between the hours of 6-11. This place is also open 24 hours, wihch is a big plus in my book. They do have normal bowling avaliable but it is more expensive. There are usually thuggish looking people hanging out, and sometimes you fear for your safety, however, but that's really the only down side to the whole experience. You also can not get here via the T, which kinda sucks.
