I went to Grease Monkey to get an oil change, but it was almost time for them to close so I didn't get in. However, I was worried about my car because it had been too long since I had an oil change, so the guy offered to check my oil just to make sure it wasn't low. I went back the next day for an oil change and they were very helpful, pointing out problems that may be happening with my car even though they couldn't fix them (and thus make money off of me).

I went here when I first moved to Fed. Way because I was broke. I have had my hair cut at a beauty school before, so I knew what to expect: the haircut takes a long time because they have to get approval from their instructors for everything, and the stylists are very inexperienced because they are students.
Also, the student recommended a style that didn't really work for my hair type, which he would have known with more experience. I was so delirious from waiting so long that I actually said yes, but I really should have known better, having thirty years of experience with my own hair.
I probably won't go back there unless I am really broke again, but it's not really their fault; they are students and you do get what you pay for.

Nordstrom Rack has a great selection of name brand shopping at low prices. It's the best of all of the markdown/label stores. The location in Auburn has a good plus-size collection, too, which unfortunately the downtown location seems to lack. The particular strength of both stores is their great name-brand shoe selection. I have also found really good bras here.

If you are touring the Woodinville wineries, it would be tempting to skip this small winery on the back side of a business park. Don't!! They have really good wine, and the man who runs it is very charming and down to earth. If you enjoy buying stuff from the person who makes it instead of a giant company, this is a good place to visit.
