I decided to give this salon a try since it carried Aveda products. I was not impressed, although I am considering giving it another try with a different stylist. The first thing I noticed about my stylist was that her hair was not really in style, which I consider an important factor. My simple requests were that my hair be all one length and the length of a hairstyle on a celebrity photo I brought in. I ended up with hair an inch and half longer in back than in front and the length needed to go a couple of inches shorter to be the length in the photo I brought. The cut cost $40.

If you are looking for hard-to-find live versions and import releases of your favorite artists, Soundwaves is your kind of place. They also carry a large selection of releases on vinyl as well as mainstream releases on CD. Before ebay, I used to special order a lot of imports from here, which is still a good way to go if you want more assurance of a quality recording.

The possibilities are endless. It would be difficult to leave the store without wanting to create something different with their unusual supply of paper and stamps. Maggie, the resident dog offers a friendliness and warmth to the store.

One can really activate the creative juices by stepping in the door of Rubber Soul. They have all kinds of samples made by customers and staff at this wonderful stamp store. The stamps are all catergorized which makes finding a certain subject easy. The paper supply needs to be better displayed - they need to put each color on a separate shelf rather than in one stack. The paper is also a bit expensive. Around November/December you can pick up a stamp card - after you spend $100 you get $10 off your next purchase. They also offer classes. It is located in charming Poulsbo where there are other cute shops.

This unexciting store carries tons of games, a decent supply of puzzles and models and a few fantasy books. I have run in here when I needed to buy a last minute game for a gift. Selection is pretty good, but the bulk is in the realm of fantasy. It is worth a quick stop in if you are wandering the shops of Greenwood.

There are stamp stores I prefer over this one, but it definitely has a decent supply of rubber stamps and little accessories for card making. It is in an excellent location in lower Queen Anne, although parking can often be an issue in this area. The stamps seem to be overpriced, but upon comparing with other rubber stamp stores, it isn't bad.
