Not so great, anymore

The Essential Baking Company has gone from being over-the-top great to not so good. The service is poor -- very snobby cashiers, and the menu is increasingly restrictive. The new management in an effort to raise margins has taken all of the really great items off the menu. Sadly the brisket sandwich and other delights have been replaced by an increasingly bland array of sandwiches and soups. I’d recommend staying away from the cream based soup. I've had food poisoning from them twice!
