Stop by the Cheese Cellar in Fisher Plaza, right across the street from the Space Needle. They are extremely friendly and helpful in reommending selections and combinations from their wines, cheeses, chocolates, olives, fancy breads and crackers, and other delectibles.
We often stop by here to pick up an assortment of gourmet chocolate bars and a bottle of wine to share at dinner parties.
They also started carrying Salumi's meats, so you can pick up some of your favorite salami to go with your cheese selections.
If you check their website, they have complimentary wine and cheese tastings on most Thursdays from 4-7pm. Its a great way to find a new favorite.

You could easily find something fun that would work for a guy or girl at Archie McPhee. They have all kinds of crazy random stuff like Bendy Smiley toys, tiki mugs, Pirate lunchboxes, Jesus action figures, and other weird and unusual gifts. I got a set of really cute tiki-mug shot glasses there for around 10 bucks. You could also get one of their neat metal lunchboxes and fill it with other oddities from the store. They've expanded into the space next door, so after you look in the main store, head across the parking lot for more stuff in the adjacent building. Have fun!

We go to the Cherry Street Coffee on 3rd Ave near Madison Street, next to the Fedex Kinkos in the Central Building, and have breakfast almost every morning. Their baristas know what they're doing and make wonderful - and beautiful - coffee creations. They also have a good selection of bagels and pastries to complete your breakfast. This is a great place to stop in on your way to work if you're having a bad morning. The staff is extremely friendly and will whip you up something tasty.

This restaurant is unexpectedly cozy and quiet for a place directly adjacent a shopping mall and a busy street. The staff have always been quite courteous to us, seating and attending to us promply and making sure the chai stays refilled.
The food is overall very good, although sometimes a bit hit or miss. The curries are good, the rice and peas dish is tasty. I would recommend this restaurant for a good hot meal if you're in the Northgate area. They also have special meals on holidays when most other restaurants are closed.

This has been my favorite restaurant for the three years since we discovered it. We've had exceptional meals dining there, and also from their delivery. The curries are tasty, the meats are tender, and they have tons of delicious dishes in all categories. Unlike another well-known Indian restaurant in that area, the food is never bland, and when you ask for spicy, it'll be spicy.
The restaurant is clean and warm, and the staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive to your needs. They make you feel like an old friend and resected guest. There's a cozy cocktail lounge with a fireplace, and a romanticly lit dining room for a relaxed evening. If you love Indian food, you should definitely try it.

We were really excited to try Enat for our friend's birthday. The restaurant was freezing nside, and everyone had to leave their coats on the entire meal to stay warm.
The atmosphere inside was extremely dirty and disheveled, and they took no effort to keep the bar area smoke from filling the dining area. Service was slow even though we were the only people in the place. When our food finally arrived it was already cold, but we were starving and dug in. The food was ok - but halfway through the basket, we found a huge wad of hair mixed into the lentil dish. Everyone was so disgusted that we left hungry, and cold. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone. There are far better places to enjoy a warm, tasty, hair-free meal.

Big Fish Games is a family-friendly website with tons of games. They have all the addictive casual games like Jewel Quest and Solitaire, and some of their own unique creations like Mahjongg Towers Eternity and MCF Huntsville. You can play free demos of the really cool downloadable games (without giving up your credit card number!), and there are a bunch of free online games too.
My family loves to play together on the downloadable games. They're easy enough to figure out that even my grandmother gets into them and really enjoys playing. The online gaming community is where you can chat with friends while you play online games. You can also trade your tokens from playing online for chances to win free games.

I really like Sky Nursery. It's way up Aurora, but worth the drive for their selection of plants, gardening supplies, and the knowledgeable staff. If you get on their physical mailing list, they send out a great newsletter, often with coupons.
They also have handy free information sheets on how to care for the different types of plants that they carry. If you're looking for native plants, they have a great selection.

Forget high priced salons, for a bit more than it costs you to get an absolutely horrendous doo at Supercuts or Great Clips, you can roll over to Rudy's and let the cool cats there make you look good.
I've been going to Rudy's since college, and let them try whatever they feel suits my hair best, and i've never been disappointed. The staff is friendly and chatty and their wall of crazy celebrity hair pictures and stickers is fun to stare at while they clip away.
Just one thing to beware, even when you call ahead and get on the list, the wait can be really long for afternoons and weekends. Call in advance, and try to go during a weekday when they're less busy unless you have an hour to kill looking through their eclectic collection of magazines.

Pair has an excellent mac and cheese dish! Actually, all of their dishes are wonderful. My boyfriend and I like to go here with other couples or a group and share a variety of their little plate dishes. If you went with 8 people, you could almost order one of everything and then you'd all get to try a little of each. Save room for the deserts though because they have a very tasty Lemon Creme Brulée. You must try an order of the Gougéres!
Pair doesn't take reservations for groups under 6 people, so if you have fewer, don't show up starving since you probably have to wait 45 minutes for a table. Just have a seat and gaze at the menu or have a drink at the bar, and enjoy the peaceful and romantic setting.
They only have a limited number of each dish for the evening, so get there early if you want your pick of the menu. And they're closed on Monday and some holidays, so you might want to call and make sure they're open. We assumed they'd be open on Valentines Day and ended up disappointed.
