I love love love this place. Why is it only in Charlotte? They should have a chain with one on every corner. Okay, the deal with Therapy is that they have HUGE delicious martinis of all kinds of flavors. I went with a group of friends and we each ordered a different one so we could taste them all. Every single one of them was incredible and beat out most other martinis I've had. My second favorite was a chocolate one with Godiva in it. Incredible. My absolute favorite one was strawberry cheesecake - it had graham cracker crumbs around the edge of the glass! I will go back there every chance I get. Oh, the live music was also really fun, as was the atmosphere.

My Bar Charlotte experience rocked. There were already people dancing when we got there at 10:45 (really early by clubbing standards) so we didn't have to start the dancing. We had the best set up - plenty of room on the dance floor and a table to stack jackets and purses on right next to us so we didn't have to hold them or have someone babysit them. None of the boys really bothered us. (I hate it when they just come up to you and start trying to grind - that is nasty and rude.) None of the boys were even being gross and staring at us (okay, well, *I* didn't notice anyway). Oh! And none of them tried to grope me while I walked through the crowded areas. That was great. I hate it when that happens - have almost gotten into a fight before over it. I think they were more interested in... let's just say other chicks. Sure, the female bartenders were wearing skanky outfits, but that's pretty standard. Oh - it's also "cool" because they let you dance on the bar. I wasn't up for that. But they had this awesome little platform above the DJ pit with lots of poles to swing around on. So fun! You don't have to worry about anyone grabbing at you there, and the guys in the DJ pit were very nice about making sure you get up and down the tiny stairs okay. Also key: the DJ was willing to play whatever I asked for. Sure, I wasn't totally pleased with the music, but all the other stuff mentioned made up for it.

We went here for St. Patty's Day dinner with a bunch of friends. It's an old standby for our group - consistently good food, decent service, and a good bar. Well, two of our friends had gone there on their first date a few years prior. After the dinner dishes were cleared off, he stood up and announced to the entire restaurant that he was proposing! It was very cute. Management was really cool about bringing us a bottle of champagne, drinks, and desserts.
I also enjoy the paper tablecloths! A friend and I played the dot game to pass the time while we waited for our food. Good times.

Fox & Hound has a great location for those of us who frequent or live in Cary. It also has a great atmosphere - big tvs to catch the big games, but the sports bar theme decor is thankfully absent. The food is good and consistent. My fav thing are the spicy chicken billiard sticks. Another cool thing about this location are the pool tables. All in all, it's a great place to meet up with friends for dinner or just some drinks.

My boss/mentor gave us a gift certificate to eat here as a wedding gift - what a treat! I was still in law school at the time, so there was no way we would have gone to such a nice place otherwise. We were immediately impressed by the ambience - light, clean lines, modern. The menu was a little challenging for my limited tastebuds, but I found the chicken and potato dish to be delicious. Dessert was incredible as well. If you want to splurge a bit, you should definitely check it out. It's well worth the money.

My friends and I met up at Connolly's Irish Pub last night just before 10 pm for drinks and some chatting in celebration that some people have a three day weekend coming up (not me!). The servers were very friendly and they seemed to have some interesting specials on other nights. We sat outside at a couple of plastic tables and had a blast chatting away. The Guiness is apparently very good - they make sure to let it settle at least half way before serving. They also have Stella, which another friend enjoyed. I ordered an appletini with house liquor and wasn't impressed, but the atmosphere and service more than made up for it. Oh, we couldn't sit inside if we'd wanted to because it was so busy! But it looked very cozy - definitely fun on a cold winter's night or whenever. We did enjoy the opportunity to drink outside.

Goodberry's is THE place to be on those hot summer nights in Cary, North Carolina. We took my dad there when he came to visit us and he was tickled by how popular it is. Of course, he was also impressed by the delicious frozen custard - a creamier version of ice cream. They normally have just a few flavors, which are rotated daily, and you can mix in various things to spice it up. Check out their website to see what flavors are coming up to decide when you want to go or just let yourself be surprised. It's definitely a fun way to spend an hour chatting with friends when you don't feel like meeting up at a bar.

My friends closed on their new house (in our 'hood! woohoo!) on Friday. They "ordered" a UHaul for Saturday morning pick up at the place nearest their old house, but got an email telling them they had to go to another, further away one (not very nice considering UHaul charges by the mile for local moves!). My friend showed up when they were supposed to open at 9 AM. The door was open and the lights and tv were on. My friend sat there and waited for 15 minutes, figuring the employee was in the bathroom or outside with the trucks or something. He finally got bored and called UHaul, who called the employee who was STILL AT HOME. So employee showed up about 15 minutes later. 45 minutes later, employee was still trying to run friend's credit card after 6 phone calls. Oh, and my friend didn't get the dolly he'd ordered. And the 4 dozen blankets he ordered ended up turning into 8 blankets. What a miserable experience! The truck was also in bad shape - shook like crazy even when just stopped.

I love shopping at Off 5th. I always know I can spend my money there! They have a ton of designer stuff - Juicy Couture, Kate Spade, Coach, Theory, Prada, 7 for All Mankind - at really good prices. For example, the 7 jeans that would cost you $132+ at Nordstrom's are only $100 here. You can pick up a Juicy hoodie for $40 if you time it right. If you shop there fairly regularly, you start getting coupons in the mail for 20% off an item. Although this is somewhat dangerous, it's also incredibly helpful when you have a sister in law who loves designer stuff and you don't have a million dollars to spend on her. If you like designer stuff and don't mind digging for what you want, I definitely recommend this place.

I did not want to go into the Dollar Mart, but some friends recommended I check it out. After just a couple of minutes in there, I had to break down and grab a basket to load up. I was there not long after they put the Christmas decorations out. It was great to be able to dress up our place a little more for Christmas for so cheap! I also found shampoo, conditioner, and body wash for our guest bathroom at such a great price - only $1 each! I definitely recommend checking this place out.
