This cafe, situated at the public library, serves up great coffee and tasty pastries along with excellent live music on Friday and Saturday evenings. It is also a nice spot to have a beverage after selecting some library books. Nice service.

I went in for an oil change and a muffler check. They were very nice, I was satisfied with the service.
My big complaint is that I left my car there and they said they would call me when it was done (est. 1 1/2 hr). 2 hours later I called them and they said that they'd been too busy to call me, but that it was done. I went back over and they explained that the muffler did have a problem and parts needed to be replaced. I said "do it" and left again, again they didn't call me.
Had they called me promptly when the oil change and evaluation was done, I could have authorized the parts work over the phone. The whole operation could have been completed within 2 hours, instead of 6.
I'd use them again, but I would know to call back frequently to check on the status of my car.

I've only gotten my hair cut there twice, and haven't been wowed with how it looked afterwards. The second time the stylist had mis-scheduled herself and I would have had to wait 30 - 45 minutes (I came back, and I will give her that she rearranged things to accommodate me coming back).
My gal is very slow and chatty, and especially slow with the blow-drying.
But, it is in walking distance from my house, so I suppose I'll stick with it.

I got takeout from HappyLand Chinese restaurant and it made me very sad.
First, I would never consider eating in there. Dingy atmosphere, gross women's bathroom, and the only people in the place...

First, I would never consider eating in there. Dingy atmosphere, gross women's bathroom, and the only people in the place were in the bar (which looked scary). An extremely drunk, possibly homeless woman was forcibly ejected from the establishment while I waited for my food.
The fried rice was flavorless, the sweet and sour chicken was extremely greasy, and the beef and broccoli was dull.
In all, I cannot recommend this place. Safeway chinese food would be better.

I love Pave! They have tasty baked treats and classic breads. There is a good assortment of sandwiches available, especially vegetarian-friendly. Their coffee is great quality as well.

Not much to complain about here. The Flying Pig has solid (though not exciting) food with a decent variety to their menu. Excellent bar/beer selection. They were happy to bring tastes of wine to a friend who was unsure what she would enjoy. Service was genuine and fun, but not overbearing. Prices are neither dirt cheap nor shockingly expensive.

Last week I went to this theater just to get some "take-out" popcorn. The concession stand includes a "pour-your-own" butter stand with multiple kinds of toppings, and the popcorn always comes out perfectly. Plus it is cheaper than at the typical big chains.
However, if you actually want to see a movie, this is a great place to go. It is small, only showing about 8 movies at a time, but that means there's rarely a crowd. The employees are nice, the place is sufficiently clean, and I've never noticed a problem with film/audio quality.
