On top of which, Dick's on Broadway was immortalized by Sir-Mix-A-Lot. What more can you ask?

I can firmly recommend this restaurant. Their food is tasty and served quickly. They're well known for their quick refills on chai tea and water. I've never had to wait for a table and service in general is speedy, though they don't rush you.
One drawback is having to find parking on residential streets nearby.

I've been to the Palace Kitchen several times, but always with vegetarian friends, in situations where we were sharing dishes. So, I can attest that vegetarians can find enough to eat! The cheese platter, though lightly filled, is excellent. All the dishes are so creative, with intriguing combinations of flavors and textures.
Staff are extremely professional and atmosphere is very downtown. Perhaps a bit pricey, but you definitely get your money's worth!

And I will stand by that statement! Located in a strip mall in Newcastle (between Bellevue and Renton) Yea's Wok appears rather unassuming. Until you notice the people loitering around outside, waiting to be seated. Demand, especially on weekend nights, has increased along with the increased seating capacity afforded by several remodels over the past few years. I've even seen tour buses (of Asians) unload their passengers for dinners at Yea's Wok.
The wait is worth it, believe me. I have tried most everything on their extensive menu and enjoyed everything. Their ingredients are fresh and sauces flavorful. Spiciness is added skillfully, so as not to overpower flavor. Grease is kept to a minimum and things never have a chemically taste to them.
Prices are very reasonable and all the staff are fabulous. Once you've gotten seated your order is taken immediately and food comes quickly.
They've been written up favorably in various local newspapers.

Superb food, cheap prices for lunch dishes, unfortunately marred by glacially slow service. Nice atmosphere for a chatty lunch. Good Thai iced coffee.

A sweet little hardware and lumber store. They have free popcorn and very nice staff. On some generic items their prices are slightly more than the big box stores. However, they also carry the more unusual items. I found some decorative moulding that neither Lowe's nor HD carry. It is just a fun shoppng experience, reminds me of my great-uncle's hardware store in Omaha NE.

An extremely dark atmosphere and ditzy blond waitstaff wearing lingerie and ridiculous heels make it clear that this place is more concerned with selling sex than food. Drinks are priced as what you'd expect, service is attentive and friendly. Calimari appetizer is tasty, the crab-artichoke dip was strange with its inclusion of tomato sauce.
Not really a pick-up opportunity, but decent for a date. Especially for a date whose face you don't want to see clearly. Or whom you don't want to be caught with.

the title says it all. Food is decent, though unexciting. Prices are appropriate. However, it is very, very slow service that makes me avoid Blue Water Bistro at South Lake Union.

Good sushi, very fresh and flavorful. Service is fine, quick and friendly. They offer a lunch combo that is the perfect amount to fill you up; 5 peices of sashimi, 1 california roll, salad, miso soup. Pretty good with timely beverage refills.
Only downside is that it is relatively expensive for sushi.

It may not be the most gourmet sushi, but it does come in quantity, on a conveyer belt. This place was packed the last time I went, so my main complaint is that they don't have more seating. Their sushi is fresh, simple, and delicious. They chefs were quick to respond to special requests.
Only thing I didn't like was their calimari, which was overly chewy and flavorless. However, I've never had calimari at a sushi place before, and perhaps that is how it is supposed to be.
