This hotel is very pricey per night. It is boardwalk-front with a pleasing pinkish stucco exterior. The guest accommodations are great. The floors are tiled and there is very nice furniture and beds. The staff is very nice as well. They know you paid plenty to stay here and therefore give you the service you deserve. Parking is connected to the building. The hotel is only a few steps from the beach.

This is a great western wear store where you will find traditional western attire, as well as items with a more modern touch. They have really nice ponchos that work great for wet sporting events or any other time you might be stuck out in the rain. They also have nice genuine leather items and some really cool belt buckles that are in style now. The store is very large and located near the farmers market, so it is a good place to get some shopping done on the weekend.

This museum is a fun experience, especially if you have a thing for elephants. The museum is a nice size and just full of all different type of elephant collectibles. The owner started the collection years ago, not with the intention of starting a museum. His collection grew and grew and now it is truly a site to see. You will see big billboards leading up the museum, so it is easy to find. Try their chocolate fudge in the gift store – it is some of the best.

Susquehanna Craftsmen can build almost anything you desire. They are particularly talented at finishing your pool area with a functional, yet attractive deck. If you want, they can build some seating or storage areas to go along with the deck so you get the most out of the area. They use high quality wood that will last for many many years. They also can lay patios and walkways with stone of your choice. I think their prices are definitely competitive.

Kenneth Smith is my favorite glass company in the area. Their estimates are MUCH lower than other glass companies and they will come out to your house within a couple days of you calling. They don’t try to rip you off, but rather charge a fair price for their work. I had a cracked window and they came right out and took care of it by replacing the glass, while other companies told me I had to replace the entire window which would have cost four times as much.

H.I. Brown Mirror and Glass is a fairly expensive company to use. I had estimates from several companies in the area and H.I Brown was almost double other's prices. They do very nice work and are dependable, but I am not sure they should be charging so much more than other companies. If you have the money to burn, they are a solid company to choose. However, I prefer to save money wherever possible, so I can't afford to use them often.

Christy’s Christmas is a nice Christmas store with the largest variety of ornaments I have ever seen. I don’t like shopping here when it isn’t winter, but I do anyway because I can find unique Christmas items other stores don’t carry. Everything is just a bit classier than your typical chain store decorations. I like their selection of lawn reindeers, and also their colorful in-home decorations, especially the tabletop arrangements.

This store is a large music store right off Mountain Road in Linglestown. The building used to be a bike store, then a piano store, and now it Forte Music has taken it over. It is a nice structure and just chock full of instruments. They carry guitars, violins, clarinets, flutes, cellos, and so much more. If you are looking into learning an instrument but can’t afford to buy it, you can rent from Forte for a reasonable cost each month. This is a nice service because if it turns out you don’t like it, it isn’t a big investment.

Harrisburg Foot and Ankle has two podiatrists on staff. The building is very small and sometimes it takes awhile to get in for an appointment. They can treat you for almost any foot disorders, and are skilled at ankle surgery and other serious problems. The cost for treatments seems to be the same as other podiatrists. They have a good location, right off of Linglestown Road.

This is a very interesting museum that I suggest visiting if you are in the area. It is a restored Civil War period house, and everything in it is true to the time period. Even the staff dresses in Civil War garb as they give the tours. The Schrivers used to live in this house, so the staff tells you about their store in relation to the war. I really like this tour because it drives the war home and shows you how people dealt with the war, other than soldiers.
