Matt's is a great place to drop in for lunch with business folk--a decent variety of food, reasonable prices, and good service. The restaurant is located on the Gene Juarez side of Redmond Town Center (RTC). Rolls are served prior to entrées, just so you have something to nosh on. I enjoyed their Pulled Pork Sandwich, and my favorite entrée is their Mixed Grill, which includes grilled chicken, shrimp, and Andouille sausage with a honey-mustard sauce. I'm not a big coleslaw fan usually, but I do enjoy theirs.
I do suggest saving room for dessert so you can try a Matt's Hot Chocolate--this year's KCTS Cooks included the recipe in their 2005 cookbook, and I bought it for that alone! The Hot Chocolate is actually a bittersweet chocolate soufflé with a milk-chocolate truffle inside, served with ice cream. If you're on a date, this is guaranteed to make the girls swoon.
