My husband and I stayed at the Horizon Casino resort one weekend when the other casinos in Vicksburg were all booked up. The staff was very friendly and the location was in the middle of Vicksburg. We were a bit suprised at the room. It was large and it was clean but there were no in room movies, no room service and no great view. Remind you the room was very clean and well kept.
The casino was a bit homely, It just seemed old. Seats were torn and the carpet was worn. It was warm in the casino - that is a plus since I usually am freezing cold. I played slots - there are plenty and my husband played poker (they offered free hotdogs and other snacks to the poker players). I was not racking up on the points very easy and when I went to collect my prize at 1:10 a.m. to collect my prize I was advised that the rewards are not offered Friday through Sunday and it is technically Friday. I was truly disappointed and frustrated.
Checkout was convenient but for $109 per night, I feel that we should have received more.
