R. Thomas is known for its juice bar, but it's food is great too. The juice bar is where they squeeze fresh fruit and teas to make these wonderful fruity concoctions full of vitamins and minerals. The food they make uses many organic ingredients, and they do have some meat as well, but it also is free-range, no hormones type stuff, so it's really healthy and tasty. The place is open 24/7 I believe, but the juice bar closes at 2:30 AM, so get there before then if you want juice. The whole place is on a covered patio because they had to convert the entire inside of the store for the juice bar, but even during winter, it stays decently warm because of all the heating.

Alon's Bakery is legendary. Its rustic breads, its delicious pastries, and its drinks bring customers from miles around to this little store in Virginia Highlands. During lunch time, this place gets very crowded with people grabbing a sandwich or soup from the bakery, so get there early if you don't want to stand in line. Also, this is the perfect place to get a dessert cake or maybe even a birthday cake, if you've got money to spend. While their pastries may be expensive, they're worth every penny.

Taqueria Del Sol has to be my favorite Mexican restaurant. The tacos and fillings they make are creative, yet delicious. Their drinks are made well. Their chips and salsa and cheese dip are all fresh and first-rate. I really don't think you can go wrong, unless you're looking for truly "authentic" Mexican food. The only downside is because its so popular, seating/parking can be limited.

This store located in Little Five Points carries a great selection of organic produce and products. Many of the people who frequent there are from the area. The layout is very clean and friendly, unlike some of the other organic stores I've been to before, so it's an enjoyable shopping experience. They also seem to be involved in a lot of community-oriented work, so you know your money is doing some good by spending it there.

Rainbow Natural Foods carries a wide selection of organic produce and goods. The prices aren't too bad, and there are occasionally sales on some items. While the majority of the store is a grocery store, what it is probably more well known for is the food bar that is always busy during lunch time and the food items that are ready to go. I find that they have some day old items from the food bar for half off, so I go for those, making it a really cheap, but nutritious and satisfying meal.

If you're looking for Japanes books, manga, magazines, or any other sort of Japanese publication, this is the place to go. Nestled in a shopping center across the street from Lenox Mall, this Japanese bookstore caters to Japanese people, and those intersted in learning more about Japanese culture. It is located right next to a Japanese restaurant as well. The books can be a little overpriced, but what do you expect when they're being shipped half way around the world?

If you need anything for Japanese cooking, this is the place to go. This is where all of the Japanes expats go to do their grocery shopping when they want to cook traditional Japanese dishes, and they need traditional Japanese ingredients. They also have a movie rental service, if you're interested in that, and on top of that, they carry magazines and some books. It's the one-stop shop, albeit a little small.

Thanks to Atlanta hosting the Olympics a few years back, Atlantans received a beautiful park in the middle of downtown. Adjacent to the CNN Center and Phillips Arena, this park is the site for many events throughout the year, including many great concerts. People working in surrounding buildings flock there for lunch to enjoy nice weather, and during the hot summers, kids play in the fountains that squirt water in the pattern of the Olympic logo of the five rings. It's a blast!

Piedmont Park is the crown jewel of the Atlanta park system. I believe it is the largest park in Atlanta and borders Midtown, giving it an incredible view of the Atlanta skyline. On any given day, you'll find walkers, joggers, bicycle riders, and plenty of people playing on the fields. It truly is Atlanta's playground. On Saturdays during the growing season, they also host a great farmers' market called the Green Market. In the summer, they have started a free movie series where they show movies once a week. People bring out their blankets and just watch great movies projected on a gigantic screen. Beware, it gets packed, so get there soon for good seats.

The World of Coca-Cola is one of the attractions in Atlanta that is a must visit for any tourist, just because of how important Coca-Cola has been to the city of Atlanta. While there is some interesting history about the company's foundings, what most people remember are the jets of Coke shooting all the way across the room into a cup and the opportunity to taste Cokes from around the world. I hear they're moving the World of Coke to the site of the new Aquarium, and I'm only expecting bigger and better things.
