Everytime I go into the Peachtree City Eye Center for whatever I need, whether it's an eye exam or getting my prescription contact lenses, the people there are always helpful. From the optometrists to the people at the counter, they make the experience a much brighter one with their great attitudes. While the prices aren't the best, I think it's well worth the quality service I receive every time I go.

I needed this one part for a used TV that I bought, and this was the only store in the area that actually carried it. I was surprised when I first entered because I expected it to be a lot bigger/nicer, but they get the job done, I'm assuming b/c it looked like they had a lot of business. If you need parts or repairs, they seem to be a pretty reliable resource in the Atlanta area.

Lefont Plaza Theatre is the one that shows the legendary Rocky Horror Picture Show. If you've never seen it here, you're in for an experience. I had never seen it before, but I had heard of it since it's a cult-classic. Very weird B-grade movie, but the crazy thing is, at this theater, there are actors who act out the movie in front as it is going on. They get the crowd really involved in it, so it's quite an experience. If you're easily offended, I wouldn't recommend going, but if you're open minded, it can be interesting to say the least.

Attina's music is where you go if you're in the Fayette County area and you need music gear, unless you want to drive in to Atlanta. It has a pretty decent selection of gear, sheet music, and also offers lessons for various instruments. Their prices aren't the best, but they're not too bad either, and I believe they also do lots of instrument rentals for school bands and such. They've been around as long as I remember, and they have a good reputation in the area. I would recommend them.

Bicycle South has a pretty large selection of bikes, but I don't think it's necessarily the best selection. I feel like they don't carry the best brands, at least in my mind, but someone else might think they're fine, so I guess it might just be my taste. Also, I find their parts to be a bit overpriced. I haven't had my bike serviced there, so I can't say anything as far as the quality of their services. Overall, if you really need a bike or parts, it's not a bad place to go to, but it's not the best place either.

The Georgian Terrace Hotel is one of the most historic hotels in downtown Atlanta. Once you step through the door, you notice the marble walls and columns, and you know you've stepped into luxury. The lighting fixtures make you feel like you've stepped into a luxury hotel from the turn of the century (not the last one, but the last last one). They've done a great job of maintaining the antique quality of the hotel, and there's plenty of history to be enjoyed there too as you read the information. If you've got the money to spend, this is the place to stay in Downtown Atlanta.

My college has had its formal here for as long as I can remember, and it's the perfect place. The Egyptian ball room is a pretty expansive room that could probably fit several hundred people at capacity. There's a nice stage, and the decorations are very Egyptian, I guess you could say. We had a great time, and the staff they had working there was very helpful and courteous. We couldn't have asked for a better formal.

The Fabulous Fox Theater is one of the crown jewels of Atlanta. After is was saved from razing by a committed group of citizens, this theater has seen a resurgence of popularity. Now they host concerts, plays, operas, and even movies throughout the year. The last time I went, it was to see a movie during the Coca-Cola Film Festival that was held during the summer. Before the show, they have a guy playing songs on the organ that everyone sings along to and it was great! The design inside is really cool, feels like you're in a Byzantine or Moorish castle. Definitely recommend this place.

Cyclorama is a unique look at the Battle of Atlanta. I believe it may be one of the largest painted murals ever, but it is a gigantic painting that spins around and recounts the Battle of Atlanta. It can be quite educational, yet even kids get a kick out of watching something that big go around, it's almost like watching a movie, except the picture doesn't move. If you're a history buff, this is a must see, and if you're just visiting, it's one of those places you could go to to experience some of Atlanta history.

If you're an avid ultimate frisbee or disc golfer, you'll have to visit this store. It's got a great selection of ultimate frisbees and disc golf frisbees as well as frisbees for dogs, glow in the dark frisbees, basically anything you can imagine. Even if you don't play much frisbee, it's an intersting store to just take a look around in because of the variety of frisbees there - they just come in so many shapes and colors. Prices aren't great, but it's more of a place to just window shop.
