The World of Coca-Cola is one of the attractions in Atlanta that is a must visit for any tourist, just because of how important Coca-Cola has been to the city of Atlanta. While there is some interesting history about the company's foundings, what most people remember are the jets of Coke shooting all the way across the room into a cup and the opportunity to taste Cokes from around the world. I hear they're moving the World of Coke to the site of the new Aquarium, and I'm only expecting bigger and better things.

I've been to several major theme parks, and Cedar Point has to be the best theme park ever! The roller coasters there make the roller coasters at other parks seem like kiddie rides, seriously. It costs just about as much to get into Cedar Point as any other park, and if you can pick to go on a day that's not too crowded, you can go through and ride lots of rides in the park since the wait isn't too long. I can never go to another park without feeling ripped off after having been to Cedar Point.

Fernbank Museum is one of the best science museums in the Southeast. On any given weekday, you'll find curious adults and groups of school children touring the parts of the museum, looking at fossils and various exhibits. They also have an IMAX theater that plays two different movies each day. On Friday nights, I believe, they've started doing "Martinis and IMAX", aimed at a more mature audience, where they serve refreshments at the movie, and there is usually a jazz band playing in the museum area afterwards. Nice place for an intellectual date.

I needed to get some screen printing on an order of about 50 shirts, and after doing some research, I found they had some pretty cheap prices, so I decided to go ahead with them. We had a little trouble transferring the artwork to them since they required a really specific format, but after that was all done, it took them a really short time to print out the shirts, and they came out excellently. I would recommend them to anyone looking to get a bunch of shirts printed.

Alon's Bakery is legendary. Its rustic breads, its delicious pastries, and its drinks bring customers from miles around to this little store in Virginia Highlands. During lunch time, this place gets very crowded with people grabbing a sandwich or soup from the bakery, so get there early if you don't want to stand in line. Also, this is the perfect place to get a dessert cake or maybe even a birthday cake, if you've got money to spend. While their pastries may be expensive, they're worth every penny.

My college has had its formal here for as long as I can remember, and it's the perfect place. The Egyptian ball room is a pretty expansive room that could probably fit several hundred people at capacity. There's a nice stage, and the decorations are very Egyptian, I guess you could say. We had a great time, and the staff they had working there was very helpful and courteous. We couldn't have asked for a better formal.

The Fabulous Fox Theater is one of the crown jewels of Atlanta. After is was saved from razing by a committed group of citizens, this theater has seen a resurgence of popularity. Now they host concerts, plays, operas, and even movies throughout the year. The last time I went, it was to see a movie during the Coca-Cola Film Festival that was held during the summer. Before the show, they have a guy playing songs on the organ that everyone sings along to and it was great! The design inside is really cool, feels like you're in a Byzantine or Moorish castle. Definitely recommend this place.

A Mudhens game has to be one of the best ways to experience baseball in its pure form. The players are all good enough to make it exciting, the stadium is beautiful, and tickets are cheap, so you can save money to spend on beer. Even the cheapest tickets give you good views of the field. I've never been that close to a real game since I can't afford tickets to the major league games on a college students' budget, but this was perfect. The surrounding area has some decent restaurants and bars you can go to before/after the game, and all and all, it's money well spent whether you're a baseball fan or not.

Braves baseball is quintissential Atlanta. If you're in Atlanta, you just have to go. After years in the old Fulton County Stadium, the Braves were fortunate to move to the new Turner Field, which in its former life was the Olympic Stadium. The views from every seat are pretty good, you can bring in your own food, and there's plenty of room to just stand around and mingle if you don't feel like sitting down. I discovered that if you are a Lexus owner, there is a special parking section, which costs no more than normal, but it's a very prime location. Also, they have great deals on game days and regular days throughout the year, so be sure to check up on those.

Men's World is still one of the few places that can call itself a barbershop, specializing in men's hair. None of that salon or beauty-palor or unisex places that exist nowadays, it's an oasis for men only in this place just west of Peachtree City. The barbers have been there for years, and they know exactly how I like my hair cut, and how they need to cut it. I have very thick hair, so it's difficult to work with, but they do it well. The only downiside is in the past year, they've started requiring reservations, so you're supposed to call, although I've walked in one time and was lucky enough to be able to get my hair cut. Still, it's a great place.
