This driving range has been around ofrever and it's an OK place to practice. They have a grass area but most of the range is comprised of turf mats. I like this range because it's flat and it's easier to tell how far you're shots are really traveling. I think the range is fairly well marked.
The pro shop at the range is not to be overlooked wither. It has many different golf items like clubs, gloves and bags and every now and then you will find a great deal inside.

Whether you need glasses or contacts, these guys are great. They do eye examinations on site and they do an excellent job of handling insurance claims so you don't have to worry about anything. They were very helpful in helping me get the right contacts for my eyes and if I've ever needed an extra pair of contacts, they never hesitated to give a a complimentary pair. They also provide LASIK service if you're ready for that step. I'm not ready yet so I don't comments on that service.

This is a nice little shop in Kirkwood with a good selection of wines and a real helpful staff. They don't have the biggest selection, but they have some really excellent choices. If you know what type of wine you want, they can recommend an excellent bottle. What's more you won't find wine snobs here. They will help you with your questions, even is they are basic. The prices aren't the absolute lowest out there but they're usually cheaper than the local supermarkets.

I've tried just about every dry cleaner in West County and this is the only one that consistently does a good job. They don't break buttons and they don't leave wrinkles in my shirts or just do a lousy job in general. The only downside is that they are more expensive than some of the cut-rate cleaners but they are well worth it. Try them once and I bet you;ll agree that they are the best.

This might not be the best shop for hardcore card collectors but my 8-year-old son loves to go there. Part of his enjoyment is probably the store owner who is very nice to kids and takes the time to find out what they want and give them good advice on the right packs to buy. He does have some old cards which are fun for older collectors to look at but most of the cards are more current players because they are more popular with kids.

Now that you can buy music online, record stores are largely obsolete. This is oe of the few that you should still go to. They're not the cheapest record store but you can still buy old vinyl (if for no other reason than nostalgia), and you'll find items you can't find just anywhere. For example, you'll find imports of live shows and other interesting discs from some of your favorite artists. Plus, you can trade in Cds that you don't like anymore and they give you a fairly good deal.

If you don't know exactly where this store is, you might miss it. It's a little shop in a big strip mall in Oakville, but it's worth the trip. The woman that runs the store does an professional job on all alterations and she doesn't charge much at all. Whether you're a corporate executive or your son;s school pants need to be taken in or our, she can do it all.The hours are limited from Monday through Friday and they are open from 9 til 3 on Saturdays. Believe me, she really deserves your business.

A great place for family fun. There is an assortment of roller coaster, water rides and other fun stuff for kids to do. The Screaming Eagle is the long standing attraction at this park but kids seem a lot more interested in the Ninja and Batman rides now. It's expensive to get in and the games and food are expensive once you're in. But even the pickiest person will find a ride, restaurant or game they enjoy.
