Sullivan's is good for very few things, as they have a very small selection and frequently run out of what they do have. I don't think anyone does all of their grocery shopping here, and it's just a place to run to when you need an egg or cup of sugar. It does have a small liquor section though, which is usually my reason for visiting. I have been here on two occasions when there was no bread, of ANY kind, in the store. (Once it was hot dog buns, but come on!)

This place is so strange that you should almost go just to witness its horror. If you order a Coke, be prepared to get it in the can, without a glass, much less ice. If you order the fish fry, expect frozen fish sticks. Mashed potatoes are fake of course, and the corn is the nasty canned variety. (The irony here is that Ziggies is across the street from the Del Monte sweet corn factory.) The ambiance is a smoky, somewhat dirty truck stop, complete with old linoleum floors and sticky chairs. It is open 24 hours a day, which is probably how it survives.

This place is great! It's a large thrift store with a small clothing section. It is filled with a different assortment of stuff each week. There are kitchen appliances, all kinds of dishes, canning jars, toys, craft items, garden tools, garage items, photo frames, and everything in between. Be prepared to root through shelves of stuff stacked high, and to ask how much each item is because they are not marked.

This Big Lots is like the mother of all Big Lots. It is quite a bit larger than any other store I've seen. As such, it contains even more miscellaneous junk and assorted items for you to root around through. They have a large furniture section, and even a small clothing section. It's a great place to visit around the holidays as they have an enormous seasonal section.

This is a very cute, quaint local store that has a nice deli where you can pick up some very fresh, interesting selections. It's also where you can go to buy the local newspaper, lottery tickets, or anything else you might need from a convenience store. Service is friendly and I'd much rather support a small, local store like this than a major chain like 7-11.

Food is all pre-prepared, frozen, made from a mix, etc. Literally the quality of a frozen dinner. Everything is served with some reheated frozen corn, mashed potatoes are fake. I ordered a dinner salad and was presented with chopped up iceberg lettuce. NOTHING else. Our waiter was maybe 16, and clearly didn't care what we wanted, or when. I would not go back to this restaurant if it were free.

We tried this restaurant one night when feeling adventurous. It is a general, American style restaurant with a large menu, but which excels in nothing. The seating area is very large, which is unusual because there is never anyone in the place (for good reason). Food is very mediocre, everything is clearly a prepared institutional package dinner, soup made from mix, etc. Service is what you would expect from the poor wait staff who I'm sure are grossly underpaid and under tipped by locals. I would not recommend this restaurant, to anyone.

Jalapeno's is my favorite restaurant in Peru. The food is absolutely excellent, and is preceded by free chips & fresh salsa. You are always seated immediately, and the service is top notch. I challenge your drink to get empty before they can refill it for you without being asked! Food is very reasonable in price, $6-10 per entrée and I have had many, many different entrées - all excellent.

This is very much your standard, run of the mill Red Lobster. There isn't much noteworthy to say about it as every single one is nearly identical. The only stand-out for this particular location is that we have received exceptional service each time we've visited. (Which, admittedly, is twice.) It is clean, friendly, and they have exactly what you'd think they'd have on the menu.
