For some reason, it seems most visitors to Seattle really want to go to the Space Needle. I get the impression most of them think the views will be spectacular and the swanky resturant on top will match.
Sorry folks, but that isn't true. Yeah, the views aren't bad - but you can get equally pretty views from Queen Anne, along most of Seattle's waterfront parks, or other places. As for the food, I've heard it's changed management and gotten better, but the last few times I was there, most large food chains gave it a good run for its money and it was absurdly overpriced.

Normally, I have to admit that I wouldn't really find much of value here - if anything, the dot-com career fairs taught me that you can only have so much worth junk before it stops becoming funny and just becomes a mess. However, this is the only place I know of in Seattle that sells rubber chickens, and as any computer admin knows, hanging a rubber chicken over your servers is the only way to avoid problems.

Assuming you can put up with Qwest for your DSL line, connecting the other end of it to Drizzle can be a great way to get internet access in the city. Drizzle is one of the older ISPs in the area, and features a healthy user community as well as good service at reasonable rates. Of course, the downside is that, unlike Speakeasy, you still have to put up with Qwest.

Back when I was leasing my Audi TT, I did it through University Audi. This review is about the dealer, not the car, so I'll just say that my TT was very fun, very expensive, and not very reliable. Fortunately, I was leasing it here, and these guys treat their leasers right.
Whenever I brought the car in, be it because of the 3 different defective turbo diverter valves, the tape that wouldn't eject, being out of windshield washer fluid, or just because some things where rattling, they happily gave me a loaner car as long as needed. And when I got my car back, it was always spotless on the inside and out.
If you want to lease a car and have the pockets to be treated right, these are the guys to come to.

Located inside the Stuart house of the Pike Place Market is a store called Paper Moon, which predominately features cards, but has a scattering of other things as well. I have to admit something: I'm not a card person. I seem incapable of writing them, and I frankly don't really see why people like to get them. But hey, whatever. I can still recognize a good card store when I see one.

Behind the "One Day Only Sale" signs covered in dust and permanently affixed to the windows is a truly amazing collection of quality antiques. There are 3 floors, and you're sure to find something you'll like in there. I've gotten more than a few pieces for my house here, and plan to go back as I need more.
Talk to the owner or his wife - not only is it interesting to hear how they get all this stuff here, but they're nice people, and just might cut you a deal.
