The Sunday market in Fremont, located right by the bridge and the canal, occurs all year round. They don't really have much in the way of local produce (which I had first expected). They mostly have antiquities and knick-knacks, including old furniture, clothes, shoes, posters, collectibles, and other similar items. A variety of food stands are also usually present.

My boyfriend always gets his hair cut here (the one located in Fremont) and they do a great job. He does not always go to the same stylist so I think they all must be pretty good since he consistently comes out with a good cut. They pay good attention to detail and the prices are pretty cheap. I'm not sure if you can make appointments, but I think you usually just go in and put your name on the list and then wait like 15 minutes or so. They do cuts for men and women, and they are open late so you can get a hair cut after work.
Update - my sister also recently got her hair cut here and it came out very nice. She just wanted a simple trim and that's what she got.

I went to this market very often when I lived nearby. I wish that I could still shop there! The market is quite small but they have a fantastic selection of high quality groceries, including lots of organic and natural choices, for very reasonable prices. They also sell beer and wine. They often have sales. You can buy prepared meals here as well.

This little shop by Pike's Place Market has a great selection of specialty foods. They have meats, pastas, gourmet rices, sauces, chocolates, etc. I have purchased things like hot sauce, sriracha, capers, and arborio risotto rice here. They also have a deli where you can get a tasty sandwich for lunch too!

I went here with some friends to try out kayaking in Lake Union. I have never kayaked before, but the staff was very helpful and friendly and the sea kayaks they have for rent were very easy to use and fun to paddle. We went all around Lake Union with some tips from the staff and had a great time. I would definitely recommend this to anyone and then next time someone from out of town comes to visit me I am definitely taking them here! It was a little expensive though if you do it a lot they have multiple use passes and packages you could choose. After kayaking, go up to the Cafe for some fantastic Mexican (probalby the best I've had in Seattle - try the halibut tacos!!!) and tasty margaritas! If it is nice out you can sit on the deck. It is can be really crowded though, so be prepared to wait for a table.

I brought one pair of shoes here to get them fixed. They were Steve Maddens and I'm not sure if they get many like that in this place. I needed a button replaced. They got the job done but it wasn't very elegant or nice looking and it didn't last that long. It was not expensive though, and maybe they just don't get a lot of that type of shoe in. If you have dress or business casual women's shoes that you want to repair, I would recommend the shoe repair shop in Redmond Town Center instead, which I've used quite a lot and have been very happy with.

I had to call AAA to get my car towed from where it broke down in the middle of the road out by Redmond Town Center and they sent Quality Towing to get me. The driver was quick to get to me and very friendly. He gave me and my car a lift to the mechanic and helped me work with the mechanic to get my car in and where it needed to be. It was also very affordable, the cheapest tow I've ever gotten, though maybe that is thanks to AAA. I was very pleased with this service and would use them again, even without AAA. If you are stuck on the 520 and need a tow, I would definitely call this prompt and courteous tow service.

I encountered this dealership in my quest to find an inexpensive reliable used car.
This place has a large selection of vehicles, used and new, and is conveniently located in downtown Seattle, but I did not find the staff to be the best. While my sales guy was very friendly, I felt that they didn't take me seriously and weren't very accomodating. It could just have been me but I had a much better experience at the Honda of Seattle dealership, which has the same owner.
They have lots of Scions and Corrollas, plus a variety of other used cars (Echo, some VWs, etc).

This golf complex is located in Ballard/Interbay. You can partake in mini-golf or putt putt here, as well as 3 hole pitch and putt, and you can take advantage of the all-weather two-story driving range. The miniature golf layout is pretty boring. The holes aren't too exciting, and it is outdoors so no good in the rain. I haven't tried the pitch and putt, but I did enjoy the driving range. The complex also has a snack bar and serves beer (and wine?).

Pacific Rim Auto, located in Fremont/Wallingford on Stone Way, seems to be an honest and friendly group of mechanics. They are pretty expensive ($80 per hour for my Subaru), but they took a lot of time to explain details and options to me. They also detail your car every time you bring it in (or they did for me) which is nice (but really probably unnecessary). They specialize in certain imports, like Subaru. I'd like to go somewhere a bit cheaper, but it is conveniently located, the employees are very friendly, and the free loaner cars are a nice touch.
