Rich's carries a good range of patio furniture and equipment as well as fireplaces and stoves. When we were in the market for new patio furniture we grew frustrated seeing the same cheap aluminum, glass tabletop junk everywhere. At Rich's we found the very good quality wrought iron furniture we were looking for (along with some of the low-end junk). The sales staff can be a bit slick and pushy, but overall they were helpful and we were very satisfied with our purchase.

Magnolia Hi-Fi is a place for true audio and video connoisseurs. Not everyone can tell the difference between music played through $50 speakers vs. a $5000 speaker system. However, if you can tell the difference and you're willing to pay for quality then Magnolia Hi-Fi is a great place. The staff is very knowledgeable and does a good job matching buyers to equipment.

Yes, it's a tourist trap, and yes, there's nothing in Ye Olde Curiosity Shop that anyone really needs to buy, but it is fun! My kids are fascinated by the mummy with the bullet hole in him and the other oddities displayed throughout the store. If you have guests from out of town this is a good stop on a walking tour of the waterfront. It's one of those shops that make you feel like you're on vacation, even if you're at home here in Seattle.

When I was shopping for my Imac G5 I did a lot of research online but still had a few questions for which I couldn't find answers. I went to the Mac store and was immediately helped by a very knowledgeable sales person who had the answers to all of my questions. Even better, he demonstrated what he was saying on one of the computers in the store.
I also used the Mac Store to restore information after my computer crashed. The technician was brilliant and was able to retrieve all of my photos and documents. Best of all, he only charged me for about two hours of time when he actually worked on my machine for the better part of two days. Great service!

Go to Your Room has a good selection of beds, cribs and other furniture for babies' and kids' rooms. The styles are appealing and the furniture appears well made, but not enough to justify the prices. The store also carries a range of accessories such as bedding, lamps, etc. to complement the furniture. Again, its decent quality but not just not worth the money. This might be a good place to buy a baby shower gift, but I wouldn't buy a whole room full of furniture here.

The best part about Yachtlease is that you don't take on any of the maintenance, hassle or risk associated with boat ownership. You pay your fees, you show up on your reserved days, you drive off in your boat, you return and unpack your stuff, and that's the end of it. This program does away with all the negative aspects of boating and leaves you with the pure enjoyment of blissful days out on the water.

If you know exactly which book you want and want it in a hurry, this is not the right bookstore. However, if you want to browse the aisles for hours looking for inspiration and a book you didn't even know you wanted, this is the place. Aisle after aisle of books on every imaginable topic in a cozy setting that highlights just how cold and sterile the big chain stores really are. This place has become a Seattle institution and even a tourist destination but it should appeal to any book lover.

Village Maternity is a tiny shop that manages to cram in clothing and supplies both for expectant mothers and for infants. As a result, the selection is not large but it is very good quality. As you might expect, the prices, like the clothes, are "precious". I think this store would be a great place to find a gift or a certain item but it's probably not where you want to do all you maternity and baby shopping.

When I needed to have my electronic keyboard repaired McIntyres was the only repair service that said they could work on my particular model. The technician came to our house, was able to give me an assessment and estimate in a very short time, and completed the repair in about an hour. He was very knowledgeable and had all the necessary parts with him so I didn't have to wait for him to return a second time.

Ballard Natural Gas did work on our furnace ducts and installed a gas fireplace. Their bid was very competitive and they performed both projects promptly. We had a bit of trouble getting the heating ductwork properly balanced but Ballard Natural Gas sent a guy out twice to work on it and installed a fan without charging us any extra. It was a tricky situation and they made it work as well as the situation allowed.
