Their driving instructors are decent, at best, and the cars aren’t too good either. Its fine if you just want your kid to get some instruction in, but you could do better.

This store is a fair quality institution. It's hard to say much good about it except that it isn't horrible. It's better than Country Crafts, but your best bet will still always be Michaels over on Jericho next to Macy's. If you can't go that far, this will do, but Michael's is flat out better.

If you want a good crafts store, go to Michael’s on Jericho Turnpike, next to Macy’s. They have a much bigger and much better selection.

The Hamlet is a nice country club, easily the best one in the Commack area, but as far as I know it’s the only one in the Commack area. The golf course plays well if you are a geriatric. Otherwise, you will feel let down by it. There are nicer one not too far away in nearby towns, so you would be well served to look around, especially considering how expensive it is to join the Hamlet.

Pomodoros is a very nice pizza place in the SoHo area. It offers pizza by the slice, unlike its neighbor, Lombardi’s. The pizza there is pretty good, but unspectacular. You’ll see more of the hip crowd there than at Ray’s, but not as much as at Two Boots. As far as how it ranks with the 4 pizzerias I just mentioned, Its probably 3rd or fourth, depending on how you like Two Boots

Besides Pool Doctor, Leslie’s is the best (only?) pool supplies store in the area. They have a good stock of all the chemicals that your pool will need and, unlike Pool Doctor, they have a variety of sizes to choose from which is good if you need extra soda ash in late august, but don’t want to buy a whole big tub which will be stale buy next year.

Now I just go to their store to buy supplies, which are pretty well priced and they'll test your water for free.

Its a very good convenience store. With the Dunkin Donuts located inside, you can load up on food on one trip here. They also have a lot of non-local papers, like the NY Daily News, which are great because since most people are aren't from around here (its a college town, what do you expect). Prices are probably the most reasonable you'll find other than the CVS (which is right next door).
