Love Ones is a small adult shop that has a pretty good selection, given the size of the store. It sells lingerie, toys, magazines/books, and movies. The prices are reasonable. Whether you are looking for a gift for someone, or something to spice up your own love life, or favors for a bachelor or bachelorette party, you can pretty much find all you need at Love Ones. The staff is helpful as well.

Love Craft is a great place to buy adult toys and novelties. It's a very large store that sells videos, toys, and lingerie. It often has specials on adult movies (VHS and DVD). The only objection I have to it is that the "viewing rooms" are not soundproofed, and so while you are shopping in the store, you can hear the people watching the videos in the viewing rooms. Personally, I'd prefer not to think about those guys while I am doing that kind of shopping, but aside from that, I definitely recommend it!

Vaccaros is an Italian dessert shop nestled in Canton Square, and the desserts are phenomenal. They have many different flavors of gelato and all kinds of Italian cookies, but the best items are the specialty desserts. Chocolate cannoli cake, napoleons, and cheesecakes tempt from behind the glass case. Last weekend marked my first visit to that location, and I had something called the Italian sandwich cookie...two round pieces of Devil's food cake surrounding a layer of baci (hazelnut) gelato and topped with hot fudge. It was, in a word, heaven.

My friends and I decided to check out Kiss Cafe last Friday night. I had read reviews on DigitalCity and CitySearch warning about slow service, but we figured we were going for drinks and now bad could drink service be? Famous last words. When we got there, there were only two other parties there, yet it took the waitress forever to serve us. Then she messed up my friend's drink order and proceeded to argue with her about it. At another point, we just went to the bar to order because the table service was bad, and even though our server saw us standing there, she turned on the Flavor Flav reality show to watch it instead of checking to see if we needed anything. After a while, we decided to order food, because we got hungry waiting for the drinks. That was a lost cause. The food was eventually served and when we asked for condiments (sour cream for nachos, BBQ sauce for chicken strips...nothing fussy!) they acted like we were asking some monumental task of them. Then the manager came over to ask why we didn't leave a tip (even though when he came by earlier in the night we told him that we were missing a bunch of stuff and no one had came to bring us new drinks in 45 minutes). When we told him, he told us, sorry, they were busy...we pointed out that they were only busy for about 30 minutes of the 3 hours that we were there, and the service was bad throughout. He then apologized and asked what he could do, but didn't offer to do anything. A good manager doesn't leave it up to the customer to decide how to rectify a situation of his own staff's doing.
It is unfortunate because the atmosphere is cool, the drinks are great, and they are reasonably priced. Plus, the location has free garage parking on the weekends. The food was also good. But the service is SO bad that it is not worth the effort. I've never not left at least a partial tip, and two of my friends currently wait tables as a second job and have sympathy for waitstaff, but we could not bring ourselves to reward that.

Carlos O' Kelly's has the tastiest Mexican in the city. You start with chips and salsa as at most Mexican restaurants, but the salsa here stands out from the usual. Every dish I've had has been deliciously spiced and full of ingredients. There's no one entree that I'd recommend above any of the others because they are all yummy!

Trade Secret is a store that stocks salon products. While their regular prices are average, they have a lot of clearance sales that make their salon products nearly as cheap as drugstore ones! I've gotten great discounts on OPI, Bed Head, Paul Mitchell, etc. After Christmas, they have all their bonus packs of products half off, and the best sale is when they have litres of salon shampoo and conditioner 2 for $22 (usually around 18.95 each!).

Jefferson Pointe has now eclipsed Glenbrook as the go-to mall in Fort Wayne. While it is much smaller, this outdoor mall appeals more to adults than Glenbrook does now. The stores, while few in number, are good, namely Yankee Candle, Ulta, Barnes and Noble, and Old Navy. My only complaint is that the only department store there, Von Maur, is far more pricey than the department stores I usually frequent, like Macy's and Lord and Taylor. I wish they'd add a more moderately priced department store.
