The Sarah P. Duke Gardens is absolutely the most beautiful place in Durham year-round. Each season brings new and different displays of plants and flowers. The gardens are great for walking, jogging, walking your dog (on a leash!), reading, throwing a frisbee, having a picnic or taking a nap! The grounds are meticulously maintained. We had our engagement pictures taken at Duke Gardens and my mother was married under the Pergola. Duke Gardens holds many fond memories for Durham.
