Kauai's Family Restaurant has been serving locale patrons for many years now. The food is about as authentic Hawaiian as you can get. If you go, you have to try the macadamia nut pie and the spam musubi. Be sure to get there early or else they'll run out of the pie.

Got my hair cut from this place down on Rainier Ave the other day. My first time there and was pretty happy with the results. The service was fast and the girls working were pretty skilled. The best part of it was the price. It was only 10 dollars for a cut, 2 dollars more if you want a shampoo. Definitely worth it.

I eat at this restaurant for lunch...hmm...probably 2 or 3 times a week. They are always quick and the quality of the food is always top notch. If you're looking for a cheap, good quality lunch I'd check this place out. One thing I noticed though is their pho does seem to have a lot of MSG in it. But..boy does it taste good!

Bamboo Hardwoods sells bamboo products and a little more. Selling products made from renewable resources is their specialty. I just bought a cool bamboo "deer scarer" from them and the price was only $40 bucks. Other nurseries sold it for $70!!! They also have a small collection of very cool planting pots for a very reasonable price. Its just a cool store to visit as well. Lots to look at in a very small space!

If you're looking for a fancy, ritzy Japanese restaurant this is NOT the place. The decor is dated, the atmosphere is pretty generic, and the seats and tables are nothing special. However. If you want incredible Japanese food this is the place to go. Their sushi is first rate - always fresh, and always amazingly presented. Their food is also true authentic Japanese cuisine - nothing fake here. This is a well known hole in the wall place. Get there early or don't get seated for over an hour! The prices are also very reasonable for Japanese food.

My wife and I have been taking our vehicles to Arne's for over 4 years now. I've always been impressed with their work. Not only do are they honest and upfront about their charges but I feel they do very good work. A quote from the dealer came in at $1200. Arne's got it done for $400. The reason I didn't rate them a perfect is because sometimes they take a little longer than they will say.
