I'll be honest. I'm no bowler. I am a rec bowler only and bowl maybe twice a year. For me its not something I take seriously. I don't think I've ever broken 175. With that said, I'll tell you that I really like Sunset Bowl. Yes, its sort of like every other bowling alley in the world, but at least its clean and the people working there were nice. They also have a pretty decent arcade. Those are definitely in short supply nowadays! So, they have nice people there, clean facilities, lots of available balls to use, oh...and the shoes were clean too. A+!

The Pike Place Market is truly the heart of Seattle. It is always bustling with life and activity and I really couldn't imagine Seattle without thinking of the Market. I used to live downtown and when I would walk back from work I'd always take a detour through the market to pick up fresh vegetables or seafood. They have a large number of flower venders there as well with prices well below that of a normal florist.
People always think of the "Low Flying Fish" guys when thinking of the market. Personally - I just remember all the good times I have had with my family walking through there as a kid.

I love the Crest! I think everyone does. It's the best deal in Seattle in my book. They show last run movies for only three dollars. If you think spending $10 dollars to go see it at full price at some multiplex is not worth it but you can't wait for video I recommend checking out the Crest.
It is located away from the city, seemingly in some random neighborhood in Shoreline. The parking is a little tight in the neighborhood so you still may want to get there early.
As with all "cheap-o theaters" the place isn't fancy. But it is full of families and dates out for an inexpensive night. Another great thing...the popcorn is cheap too so don't waste your time sneaking food in.

I know the title sounds bad but this place is just ok. They offer haircuts for ten dollars. They usually get done quickly - but with all things quick sometimes there are mistakes! I've been going to this stylist/barber for 2 years now but I think I'm moving on. It just makes more sense to get a better haircut and spend a few dollars more than to get a "deal" on my haircut. One other thing, the guy who cuts my hair (don't remember his name - but he's the owner) doesn't seem to listen to me. Everytime I say to not cut it short...he cuts it too short. If you go, ask for his wife to cut your hair.

If you live in Seattle, you probably already know about this place. If you are visiting Seattle, or taking the day off and playing "tourist" this should be a must hit spot on your agenda. There really isn't any way to explain this place but I'll give it a try. It is the largest, strangest collection of random stuff, weird stuff, odd stuff that you'll ever come across. I've lived in Seattle my whole life and I never get tired of visiting this place. Of course, some of the most amazing stuff in there isn't for sale. You can view real shrunken heads and even a supposed real life mermaid!
If you are walking down the Seattle waterfront and want to spend an hour or so just amazed at all the crazy stufff in the world, Ye Old Curiosity Shop is the place to go.

South 47 Farm is such a great asset to the community. I've only know of it because I take my nephews there around Halloween time to get pumpkins. But its so much more. For those who don't have a yard of your own they offer small plots that you can rent for the season to grow your own vegetables.
However, I just know about the fun I've had with my nephews going on free hay rides through the pumpkin patch. Around Halloween time you can go out to the farm to pick your own pumpkin, get a hot cup of spiced cider, and even pet some farm animals. It's a must "do" event for the fall!
