Wild Waves and Enchanted Village is actually a pretty good amusement park. A part of the Six Flags family, they usually have a new attraction each year (this year it's Zooma Falls, a water park slide that is pretty cool). Echanted Village has a good diversity of rides - some for older kids, some for younger ones - and is large enough that you can spend the day without doing everything twice. It's fairly reasonably priced (considering what parks cost these days) and the food sold there isn't terribly expensive.

Re-Bar is not just any old night on the town! Though many nights offer the usual drinks and dancing kind of fare, they also offer shows that are absolutely, hilariously fun! Non-professional actors portray scenes from popular movies such as Footloose, Flashdance, and Fame, as well as Dirty Dancing. It is informal and raucous, and very approachable for the queer and non-queer alike. Check their schedule in the local pages to find the nights for shows. They never fail to impress and amuse!

This metaphysical bookshop is lovely and peaceful when you first walk in. It is filled with magical and beautiful products, and a wealth of books regarding spirtuality, religion, mysticism, and many other topics. It is clean, bright, and airy. However, the staff consists of two people who are nothing but snobby and rude. Thumbs up to the physical store, big thumbs down to its staff.

The U Bookstore maximizes space in a crowded neighborhood! They have everything imaginable, from textbooks to art supplies to journals to sweatshirts. They have improved the layout of the store in the last couple of years, and it is now easy to navigate and well organized. Their primary drawback is a lack of available staff people to help with questions. However, once you locate someone, they are generally helpful!

This place is pretty great in terms of making massage accessible to lots of different people. It's easy to walk in from the street, and has showers and changing rooms. It's a little cramped and you have to wait in a semi-public place wearing a robe until your therapist meets you. The convenience of having a steam room and sauna and showers makes it a good stop!

If you're looking for a good massage school, you might think twice about going to Utting. Utting makes you go to school for 15 instead of 12 months, which gives you more credits than you need for national accreditation. Other schools in the region have a program that is more tailored to giving you a complete education without the extra months (or tuition)!
In my view, the Utting massage sequence isn't very good - there seems to be a general lack of complete or coherent pattern (i.e. work on the leg but not the foot), so you're left with a feeling of "incompleteness."
