This is a great place if you are looking for books about California and especially its history but they also focus on Western America, rare literature and illustrated books as well as maps and manuscipts. They also buy books. Bookbinding and restoration services are also provided. I did it once and it took them 20 days to do it, too slow for me.

Thye have supplies with instructions for all levels of proficiency. And if you want to learn how to knit, they do offer classes for a reasonable price, for all levels and all types of knitting (hats, sweaters...)

What s great is that locals as well can display and sell their own home made goods and home published zines. the clothing is recycled and silk screened. I would describe the syle as close to punk but they do have some very fashionable piece of clothing as well.

The staff is so friendly and helpful. they also have a library where you can look at books about legal issues in the movie business or colleges or production companies. It s a great place to meet people and make contacts. Also if you are looking for a job, want to offer your service or sell equipment you can either post ads in their school, check their listings or go online. The classes are great but a bit pricy.

I had a good experience with this travel agency when I went to Brazil for a trip. I paid a great fare for my flight and did not have any problems during my trip. They specialize in Latin America so don t go there for other part of the worlds trip. They have student discount fare available as well. they can deal with your flight but also when you arrive in the country of your choice, they also have cruises and group tours and you can ask for their insurance. the staff was very friendly. I don t know about other trips and tours.

BAVC is a great place if you want to learn how to make a movie or a film. they have classes focusing in hands on production for film and video as well as theory classes. They also specialize in website design and you can learn how to develop a video game. All the teachers are very qualified. You can also take the Apple certified exam in their school. It is very expensive though.
