Nice to look at, but don't bother eating here

Wednesday, August 17, 2005
Salty's is quite possibly THE most overrated restaurant in Seattle. The view is nice, but at around $50 a person, I think that the food should be good also, unfortunately, it's not. The last time I went, everything went wrong. The service was bad, the food was bad, and the menu lacked choices. The seafood items on the menu were completely pedestrian, and were even poorly prepared. The presentation was more like high school cafeteria than haute cuisine. On the other hand, the dessert was decent. So I recommend going there for cocktails or dessert, but don't waste your team eating here. It will only be a disappointment. For a nice special occassion dinner, go to the space needle instead.
