The coal oven makes the difference. There are only a few pizzerias that have coal ovens and what a difference it makes. The crust is so tasty and the sauce and cheese are extremely fresh. The meatballs are very good, but usually I order it plain - that is my favorite. If you are visiting NY, you should check out the pizza here, even if you have to make a special trip to Soho for it. Whether hot, or cold the next day, this pizza is the best in New York City.

I try to make my selections from what they have on sale, since the prices are a little high for most items. It is high quality and you get what you pay for. If you can make more than one trip, do so after you have checked prices of items on-line.

The Monet collection and the Egyptian exhibit are not to be missed. One could easily spend more than two days at the Met - the building is huge. Do not allocate less than a day for it - there is just so much to see. The admission fee is just the amount they suggest. You can pay what you want to get in.

The staff at Odyssey are friendly and knowledgeable. They carry eyeglasses and contact lenses. They do not have sales because their regular prices are the sale prices you find at larger chains. They do not have as large of a selection as some other optical stores, so you may not find what you are looking for. They are also not open as late as some other stores. I often work late, so it is sometimes hard to make it there before they close at 7:30pm. I do not buy my contact lenses here, as I always find much cheaper prices on line.

I love to come to the Film Forum to get away from the standard releases in the major movie theaters. The movies are terrific, but the theater is not the most comfortable. Some of the seats have obscured views, so be sure to arrive early if you are going to see a film that may draw a crowd.

It is unfortunate that independent films are not shown in better venues than the Angelika. Many of the theaters are too small and the seats are smaller than other movie theaters. If someone sits in front of you, you are not able to see the bottom half of the screen. I will not go there again.
