Well past my college years prime, I still haul myself up to the U-District Rudy's every three to five weeks for a great haircut at a decent price. The staff is friendly, even when I come in looking like a yuppie lawyer and clearly don't blend in with the U-District crowd and tatted/pierced employees. I rated Rudy's great not perfect because once every few months, the barber will miss edging my ears; I did have one bad haircut there about five years ago, but I never saw that guy again, so why hold it against them. The price for a men's haircut is steeper than I think it should be at $17, but I was raised on great cheap true barbershop haircuts in the Bronx. Given the general price inflation in Seattle, this is still a pretty good value, plus you can get a free haircut after every ten haircuts.
