If Louisa's improved their service and the attitude of their servers (and owner!), it would rate much higher. The pastries, sandwiches and entrees are good, and their ambience is great, but you have to wait FOREVER to get your food, and the people taking your order are often snarky (although Louisa herself can be the snarkiest). The self-serve coffee pots are often empty, and Louisa absolutely freaks out if you touch them when you ask for them to be refilled. I really want to like this place, but until they speed up their service a bit and improve their attitude, I don't think I'll be back.

Dr. Lee is very knowledgeable and practical. He is empathetic yet straightforward and once you are an established patient, he can get you in to see him on very short notice. He is very good at providing referrals, and knows the other "good" doctors in town. I highly recommend.

Dr. Moritis is thorough and extremely competent. He does not pressure you into treatments you don't need. His is not the most high-tech office, but everything is done with extremely high quality. His dental assistants are very good as well. The staff knows how to maneuver through most insurance companies. I highly recommend.

Paul Horner at Estrella does a fantastic job on highlights and hair color in general. His cuts are great, too, but if you are not happy with your colorist, I would definitely give him a try!

What a bargain, and what good food! No less than six vegetarian curries are available each day for lunch, along with three chicken and three lamb. The "naan" (I put in quotes, because it is not traditional naan) is to die for. The daily special, at $3.99, comes with rice, bread and a drink. Caution: figure out what you want before you get to the counter, as the owner can be rather soup-nazi-like when asked too many questions or if a customer dallies for too long. However, that is just a part of the charm of this wonderful place, which caters mostly to those who take-out.

I have had my car fixed twice at Rick's--both times I received an up front and fair estimate, which the shop honored (i.e., I did not pay more at the time the actual bill arrived, and once I even paid less).
On my last visit, they put a new alternator in. A couple of weeks later, my battery light came on again. I brought it into Rick's in the morning, and by noon they had put in a new alternator, no charge. I trust these guys.
