Murray's Cheese is an institution in Greenwich Village and I have been going there my whole life at all the locations as they moved less than 100 feet at a time. The newest location across the street from the last one has much more than cheese so be prepared and bring enough money. The staff is very friendly and they will let you sample a number of different cheeses to open your horizons.
The new location is also large enough for the classes they have to teach you more the world of cheese.

Spectra has been open since 1978 processing snapshots, making prints in all sizes from 3x5 to murals and they quickly got into the digital age offering every service in that area too. The staff is friendly and know enough to explain all the services to an uninformed customer. They will not only give you a lesson on what you have to do for digital output but they have files you can download to help you calibrate your computer and prevent undesirable results.

It's easy, there are really nice people working there and they are competitive with their pricing. You'll find everything that you expect from the big stores and it's a better shopping experience. The Village Postal Center rents out mail boxes but it does more than that. Besides having an address to have mail sent that you don't want the person you're living with to see you don't have to live in a doorman building to have packages delivered. They also serve as a shipping agent for the big companies saving you a trip to the UPS centers which aren't very convenient. NYU students get 10% off on the shipping services making it a lot cheaper sending thiings home at the end of the school year. They have postcards and greeting cards too but that's not a good reason to go there.
