Zoka is one of my favorite hang out places. Away from work and home. One in greenlake and one in U district. The greenlake location in set in a neighborhood with outside seating under trees. The coffee is great and the service is friendly. Skilled baristas who can pull their shots well. Internet is also provided wirelessly for free. The seating is ok, it gets busy at times and there are limited soft chairs. Its mostly designed for workign I suppose with big tables to sit at. the U district loation expanded and offers a fireplace to sit by.

Sorry Ivars. A staple in seattle but extremely low quality preparation of seafood and very high prices for just tourist type food. Ivars at the pier is what im talking about. There is way too much breading used for their fried food and you walk away wondering what you paid for as your grabbing extra napkins to dab off the grease dripping from your fried concoction. Ivars puts on a great firworks show every fourth though - kudos for that.

There breads are varied and freash, they have awsome treats and grab a soup and sand from their counter restaurant next door. They always have unique sandwiches as well as traditional. the staff is freindly and uniquely seattle. easy to talk to if bored, or you can read the paper while you eat. If it looks too crowded to sit, just bud in on an empty stool, they will move over for you.

This is actually my favorite store. I go here to waist time. They used to be in pioneer square a few years back but now near pikes place on 1st. They have anything and everything related to maps and topography. The service sucks though. I dont think they like to come out from behind the counter - but thats just a quirk in their business. If you ask them questions they know the answer, they just dont jump at your feet. But feel free to browse - they equally wont bother you for just looking even for an hour as i have waiting for my wife to shop elsewhere.

If you like almond chicken, go to this place. Its the best ive had, period. The texture of the breading and the flavor will keep you coming back. The chicken peices are also substantial, not overly covered with breading. The other menu items are good too. The service is great actually with very friendly staff. Dont expect a quiet meal though and there is a bar or something above with muted music reverberating and actually vibrating the restaurant walls while you eat. Good food though. Price is average.

This place a staple in the area. Always busy and packed. The food is great and the service is good. They will get you whetever you need from chips and salsa to a clean fork with a smile. The food is typical north american mexican, but the ingredients are fresh and therefore taste good. Mostly frequented by younger crowd as its in the yuppy night area of seattle - but ive gone in there alone before when packed and they still serve with a smile.

As far as tires for your car are concerned, this is an ok place to get cheap used tires. They are typical auto people looking for a fast buck, but deals can be had here. Be sure to inspect the tyres you buy and dont take their word for it that they are ok. Otherwise they are laid back and not pushy and in the end the price is ok compared to nes tires. Be sure not to buy tires that have been repaid from a puncture. Look closly for repaired holes - dont tocuh those or demand they charge litteraly just a few bucks for the tyre.

This place is cool. This is where we got our wedding rigns custom made. Its a small shop with a lot of talent to create whatever design you want. They worked with our picky needs patiently and understood my wife's desire to get the perfect ring. They take you through the whole process of making your ring and even have a cellebration for you when its all finished. Highly recommended. The prices are also amazing fair. Not cheap of course but they dont take advantage you either.

Sevice is fine, nothing really stands out good or bad. Delivery though was a challenge - first they said delivery charges were such and such which was very high, then I pressed the issue and the clerk spoke with the owner and they provided delivery at a nominal cost - strange, like if you dont pres the issue you will be charged handsomly for delivery.

They made us feel as if it was our fault. They actually asked us if we as stood on the chair or let our kids play on it - we dont even have kids!!! They are snooty and prefer to work with customers who are ready to spend, spend, spend.
