When I first moved to town I went to Eyes on Fremont. The young woman who helped me was awesome at helping me pick out just the right pair of frames. When I returned the following year she was no longer there. I continued to go to Eyes on Fremont, but never felt like I got the same quality of service.
Fast forward 3 years...I wander into Ottica (which is in my neighborhood) only to discover two familiar faces...one a former co-owner of Eyes on Fremont and two the awesome young woman who had helped me before. She even remembered me!
I was delighted to get the same quality of service I remembered from my first visit to Eyes. When I got in they always have a smile for me and I seldome have to wait long. The space is open and beautiful.
I'll be going back to Ottica for sure!

The Palace Kitchen is my favorite spot in all of Seattle. I love the decor, the staff, the ambiance, the food...I love it all!
My extended family, with our varied tastes, all found something to enjoy on the menu. And the wine! Unlike some Seattle restaurants, there is a range of prices that doesn't sacrifice quality. You can find a nice bottle for $20-$30.
The bar is great for people watching, although it can get crowded.
Just go! You no doubt will love it for your own reasons!

3 years ago I had a delightful Thanksgiving dinner with my family at the Waterfront Seafood Grill. A couple of times I have had drinks and appetizers on the patio at sunset...lovely. I was so disappointed this April when I went for a romantic dinner with my partner. Not only was our service terribly slow and condecending, but the food was horrible. We ordered the caesar salad to split. In a word...DISGUSTING. It had obviously been sitting for hours stewing in what tasted like vinegar. I took a few bites and refused to eat the rest. It sent it back with a complaint and didn't even get an apology. My partner, starving, was determined to eat it. She was sick all night. The fish we ordered was mediocre for the high price.
I have never had a salad worse than this caesar. They should have been ashamed to put the wilted, soupy lettuce on our plates.
I will never return for dinner...maybe for a drink and a "safe" appetizer on the patio, but never for dinner.

I've been to Macrina many times...many many times. And I've tried a variety of items. But being a "savory" kinda gal, the Savory Biscuit is by far my favorite! This tasty treat is at time sheer perfection, slightly salty with rosemary and ham. Granted, there are days it is too crumbly, days it's heavy as a brick, one day they forgot the salt, and days it's still gooey on the inside...but despite all of this I continue to order my Savory Biscuit on the chance it's the day it is utter biscuit perfection!

I went to Juan a few times. The first appointment was great...but every appointment after that he was either distracted with his thoughts or other employees (colorists, etc) kept interrupting, trying to get their client the next appointment with him. He wasn't even done with me and these employees were standing over me asking him how much longer would he be with me. That was the same appointment when he apparently cut me on the neck and failed to inform me of that fact. I went home to find blood all over my neck. Of course I should have ranted and raved and complained...but I just went elsewhere. Even if he had apologized, the culture of this salon does not make the customer feel valued.

I can't think of one negative about Fremont Dental. I've been to many different dentists over the years and have had many different procedures...Dr. Park and her staff are some of the best I've found. The hygenists are super professional, but also personable. I would recommend Dr. Park to anyone.

Bucklely's bar staff are some of the best in town. They always have a smile and kind word for you. And even better they often remember your drink of choice. With a rotating selection of beers on tap you get to try something new. Last time I was in they even had two IPAs on tap.
Whether the customers are a group of lesbians before/after a Seattle Storm game or a family celebration, the staff at Buckley's provide excellent service. I am a repeat customer and will continue to be.
