Kennywood is fun not mainly for its rides, but for the nostalgia it inspires. Some of the coasters are 100 years old, and it has a touch of what I imagine Coney Island felt like back in the day. And if nothing else, some of the areas finest can be observed here- imagine Steve Erwin, but scoping mullets, rat tails, and some spandex.

A good travel agency for a traveller on a student's budget- ie, one willing to sacrifice some travel comforts to be able to eat (or drink depending on one's preference) during travels around the globe. A valid student ID (unfortunately, they do verify with the university most of the time, so no student ID's from that summer class you took 4 years ago) will get you cheap flights, accomodations, and helping planning those complicated summer trips back packing around Europe, Asia, and all points in between. Check early for high travel seasons, like spring and winter breaks for great deals.

Located in the foothills of the Alleghenies, Fallingwater is a spectacular example of the architecture for which Frank Lloyd Wright is world renowned. Sitting atop a waterfall, set amongst the greenery of western PA, it's well worth the trek from Pittsburgh to see this most famous of his private residence designs. As the goal is to "become one with nature," there is a limited tourist focus, but that just adds to the peaceful ambiance.

Though called a Chinese restaurant- pan Asian is much more appropriate, not that most of the residents of the town can really tell the difference. The food is rather good given the isolated local and limited experience most of the clientele have with anything exotic (meaning outside of McDonald's and Pizza Hut). If you happen to visit the area, give this restaurant a little more business, as it may be the hallmark of diversity in Cville.

For a local chain, the variety of foods offered is impressive. Imagine an Olive Garden with more of a home touch. The wait staff is normally very responsive, and a step above some of your local joints- not only are they functional is most aspects of everyday life, learning how to write your name upside down on the paper tablecloths is a prereq, and the crayons for kids make it a family friendly place.
