Cincinnati Children's dentists provides top-notch services. They are full service, so if your child needs any specialized services they will definitely be available there as well, including orthodontics. They are also excellent with children, and can effectively help the little one who is fearful of dental procedures. On the down side, I've had to wait quite a while to go through registration there sometimes (often 10-15 minutes just to sign in). Once through that process, however, it's usually very efficient, and you see the dental hygienist very quickly. I think it's a much better option than having your family dentist see your children, because Children's is more attuned to special needs of kids.

I like this store. . . unique items, and some nice collectibles. But the prices are just too high. They do have tent sales every so often, and I've picked up a few deals that way. Although I shop in this area all the time, I rarely stop in this store because I don't want to see something I want, and be tempted to pay the overpriced tag for it.

Having moved from out of state, I was completely ignorant of the Cincinnati Chili tradition. At first taste, I didn't like it, but I have to admit it's really grown to be a favorite. Skyline has many local branches, and the downtown Clifton is my favorite location. It's common for Cinti "natives" to debate the qualifites of Skyline vs. Gold Star chili. Skyline has a spicier flavor, with a runnier sauce.

Buskens Bakery has been a family favorite for a long time now. Every time my dad comes from Chicago he insists on going out to Buskens to let the kids pick out donuts. Most of the donuts are fairly decadent so health conscious people should stay well clear. However, you will not find better donuts or pastries anywhere. Of course, they realize this as well and price everything accordingly. Everything is always fresh and mouth watering so it doesn't matter what pasty you chose -- you will like it. Depending on the morning you may need to wait in line but it is definitely worth the wait.

Andys has become one of our favorite places to dine for its unusual experience. We always sit out on the large patio in back. The kabobs are excellent as well as the tabouli and hummus with pita bread. We usually go for one of the combination platters which gives you a ton of food for the price. The service is outstanding. The manager even paid our parking meter for us once as we were struggling for change.

I have been going to Dr. Reuss for over a decade now and have been pleased having him as my primary care doc. He obviously keeps up with the scholarly literature. In fact, he sometimes lapses into technical jargon which goes way over my head. He has always made the correct diagnosis of my illnessess and made appropriate referrals to specialists. He tends not to run a bunch of screening tests if the percentages are not in the favor of finding something. I on the other hand would rather rule out so I feel like I sometimes have to push him a little for a test before a reach the typical sceening age. Overall, however, I would recommend him to anyone for a primary care physician.

I started going to Dr. Matthias after years of seeking a cure from scaly patches on my eyelids. Other doctors had correctly recognized it as adult eczema and prescribed hydrocortizone but it had no effect. He knew right away the problem. It needed a prescription combining hydrocortizone with Vaseline so that the medicine would say on my eyelids. He has an impressive amount of knowledge on the skin at his immediate recall. The only problem I have with him is that he sometimes speaks too rapidly for me to take all the info in. Recently he has lost volume in his voice due to the effects of virus infection so he speaks in almost a whisper, making it doubly difficult to understand him. But he will correctly diagnose and treat you. He has two locations at Clifton and also an Anderson Ferry location in Western Hills so you can schedule the one most convenient.

We had Ambar recommended by a friend who is Indian as the place to eat. It is fantastic. The food is spiced to order. You may want to stay on the mild side or you will need a gallon of water. If it is your first time eating Indian, I would recommend one of the sampler platter such as the Ambar India Special. Our waiter was glad to explain what each dish was. Also try the Mango Lassi for a refreshing drink which goes well with a hot meal. Parking is behind the building and very limited so you might want to get there early. We made the mistake of inadvertently parking in a competitors lot next door, Amol, and someone from the restaurant informed us with spittle flying that he would tow our car. After that incident, we would never try Amol and our Indian friend said the food there was inferior anyway. The prices are quite reasonable at Ambar with entrées hovering around $10.

We have taken our family to Eye Care Associates for years and have been quite pleased with them. We have had different doctors and they have all been good so I wouldn't worry about who you get in with. They all give good eye exams. One thing I like about them is they are not trying to sell you something extra like Lasik surgery like some places although that is an option there as well. The last time I was there my vision had changed so they spent an extra long time making sure to get my prescription right. My only criticism with them is they tend to overbook so be prepared to wait a bit. Still I find them worth the wait.

We took our daughter to Comprehensive Speech for over a year. It was the highlight of her day as the mix of positive reinforcement with games had her forgetting she was working hard on improving her speech. They have an observational room with a one way mirror for the parents which I would recommend instead of the waiting room since it gives you a chance to view the session. That way you can reinforce what your child is learning through the lesson and see even greater progress. Our therapist was excellent and I observed that the other therapists appeared equally skilled. The only drive is the only downside depending on where you are located. They are just north and a little east of 275. But they may be worth even a longer drive.
