Good food but nothing to write home about. Very good service, it was a busy Saturday night and we only waited about 20 minutes for a table (not bad when there's a bar nearby.) I had a good hamburger and was happy with my meal, but my friend ordered a chicken quesadilla and didn't really like the bbq sauce on top. Our watiress was very good, always on top of things, but we didn't feel rushed to get out of there at all. Also pretty moderately priced, so that was a plus. Definitely a good place to go to grab a good, moderately priced dinner but not neccessarily somewhere I'd go to impress anyone.

Although I can't vouch for the food - which I hear is great - I have to say I was a little disappointed by the drinks there. The quality & ambience that Sequoia sets up made me expect a knock-my-socks off margarita, but it was fairly so so. For the price, it's obvious that you're paying for the atmosphere - which granted on a beautiful September evening, sitting on the waterfront in Georgetown is no small price, so fair enough, Sequoia. I'll go back again and try dinner, but if that doesn't impress me, I wouldn't go back just for the bar scene.

Porter's has become my go-to after work happy hour place. During happy hour, Miller Lights are $2, Rail Drinks are $3 and all other beers are $1 off. And let me say something about those rail drinks: you're not getting ripped off. They come in a glass so big it's like getting two drinks. You can't go wrong. The service is a little spotty, some nights I've been there and it's great, other night it's a little wanting, but all in all I can't complain.

I don't think I've ever experienced a better sandwich before. I want to go back and order everything on the menu to find out if it's all as good as the first. I had the smoked turkey sandwich - unlike other deli shops, the turkey in this sandwich was real turkey, like the kind Mom slices right off the bird at Thanksgiving. It was served hot on a roll that was both crusty on the outside but warm and soft on the inside. The sandwich was big enough that I could save half for my lunch the next day, although my male companion finished his sandwich on the spot and was looking longingly at mine, so perhaps not for the male eaters. My only complaint about Bread Line is that it's very crowded at lunch time, and a little bit pricey. I paid about $9 for a sandwich and bottled water. For a once in a while lunch (or if someone else is footing the bill), it was definitely worth it.

I have been to Capitol Hill Pres Church twice now. Both times I enjoyed how friendly the greeters were, and even though it was a very small congregation I didn't really feel that awkward new person feeling you get at some churches. The service is fairly traditional, and I like a more contemporary service so it isn't where I will probably continue to go. I also would like a bigger congregation, with alternative fellowship and worship oppurtunities as well as mission oppurtunities. I'm not sure if Capitol Hill Pres Church had that, it wasn't well "advertised" if they did. But I have really really enjoyed the sermon that was given both times. The congregation is very friendly and welcoming, as well. And the church itself is very beautiful.

I've driven past there and every time the porch is overflowing, but note to selves if you get there before 6 there was no wait. It's not what one would expect of a mexican restaraunt as far as atmosphere goes, with wood panel walls, white tablecloths, high ceilings - it was first-date-impressed quality. We were seated upon walking in, and within 5 minutes a lovely mojito and strawberry swirl margarita had been acquired. Although I am partial to an on the rocks 'rita, I tried my companion's frozen one and it was easily comparable to the troublesome brews conconted by Cactus Cantina. A visit to the website later explained this phenomenom - Cactus and Lauriol are sister restaruants. Lauriol's mojitos were sufficiently minty, not too sweet, and had some serious lime bite to them. The salsa was also excellent, although I prefer a more solid base for piling on the chip and this was a little drippy. Oh well - not my tablecloths to clean. Dinner was definately pricier than our original intent, but big enough to serve as lunch today as well. It wasn't your cheap eats, stomache later kind of Mexican food - this was certainly going out to eat in the best sense. All in all a thumbs up, but even more enthusiastically so if you can find someone to take you and foot the bill

I have to admit that I didn't have high hopes for Rumors, as we walked in and I immediately smelled the smale stench of a fratnerity party lounge. However, the night was pleasant enough for hanging out on the porch and the guitarist they had playing out there was suprisingly good. That was a week night.
I've also been there on a weekend night and it's everything you could hope for if you're wanting to be picked up and schmoozed by your contemporaries. A dance floor that gets full after a few rounds, pretty decent music, and a bartender who will glady take shots with you? Not too shabby... I'll be back...

I love trying new things and this is the place to go if you're up for an adventure in beer drinking. If you're going to go and order a Miller Light... forget about it. Go to Front Page and be unoriginal. I gave the bartender a few suggetions of what I normally drink and she was able to suggest some new beers for me, and was extremely knowledgable about her recommendations. The second bartender we had definitely was winging it with what he recommended (granted, I asked him to recommend a fruity American beer, and perhaps that isn't his forte) but picking at whim proved fortuitous nonetheless.
Good atmosphere, lots and lots and...lots of beer choices, and slightly difficult to find. A good choice for an after work drink or three.

Very helpful, very friendly sales clerks. Don't know if their prices are any better than anywhere else but I'd return just to get a laugh with my handle of cheap vodka.

Dr Korman is an excellent GI and an all around very friendly and warm person. He treats his patients as individuals, and doesn't just treat the disease. I highly recommend him.
