This is where I have been closest to a navy submarine and a destroyer. They have 4 military ships anchored in this area. A submarine, a destroyer, a patrol boat and a cruiser. The park is open between April and October. The admission is pretty cheap, 8 bucks for an adult. They also offer guided tours but people usually tend to guide themselves through the various exhibits and the main attractions, which are the ships. If you love war equipment, or if you just want to see a navy ship up close, this is the place to head out to.

This is probably the best local bookstore. Their prices are great and you can get most of your textbooks here. The selection might not be huge as compared to B&N, but then again this shop has its patrons, me being one of them. I am a voracious reader and so I am a frequent visitor to this place. The shop has a nice collection of books and most of the times you will get what you are looking for. If your interest in, or passion for books tends to the idiosyncratic, the unusual, the marginal, the "original," and stems from an inquiring, free-spirited and independent mind be sure to check this place out.

This is located right across UB South Campus and is good for relaxing on nice lazy morning. I am no pro in golf, nor do I play regularly but this is fun once in a while with friends. If you know about your plans, you can reserve your tee time in advance. The prices are higher on holidays and you have to reserve ahead. Daily pass is 10 bucks and reservations cost 25 bucks. You can also rent golf carts, they charge by the number of holes. Go here if you have your own golf clubs and are willing to pay because most of the times you have to make a reservation.

There is so much to see in this park – the Rose Garden, gardens at Parkside Avenue, and programs such as Yoga, Tai Chai, and Movies in the Meadow. There is also a show called Shakespeare in the Park where actors act out famous plays by Shakespeare. The park also has nice pools, stone bridges, etc. This park is just so much fun and is a must for frequent visits.

The service team over there is also very good, they are highly experienced and trained professionals and my friend has never had a complaint about them ever. Their Research library contains many manuscripts, and rare book collections. They also have a discount on the entry fee for students and senior citizens. They are open till late on fridays which is a plus. Also they offer discounts for students. They also have certain days when entry into the gallery is free so be sure to check those dates on their website. They also offer guided tours of their permanent collection at no extra cost which is great.
