Petals is a relatively new floral shop in Knoxville. It is small and quaint but it is beautifully decorated and all the plants and flowers look great. They have a walk-in cooler where you can pick out your own flowers to make an arrangements or have them make it for you. They also have gift items displayed throughout the shop based on the season. Their prices seemed average for the area but their staff seemed above average. They were extremely nice and seemed willing to do whatever was necessary to make sure the you are pleased. They also deliver - which is a plus.

K-25 FCU is a great credit union. In the past, you had to be a family member of someone who worked at the K-25 site to join, but now they have opened it up to Knoxville residents. They have great interest rates on loans and will even give you up to $100 if you transfer a loan to them from another institution. They also offer checking accounts that earn interest, free online banking, and free online bill payment service if you have a direct deposit and get e-statements instead of getting them through snail mail. I highly recommend checking into becoming a member of this credit union.

If you are a University of Tennessee Volunteer Football, Basketball, or any sport fan, this store is a must to visit. They have every Vol paraphenalia you can think of. They have clothing, stuff for your car, stuff for your home, great framed prints and even cute items for your children of all ages. We purchased the cutest outfit to bring our son home from the hospital in. We are die hard UT fans. Just beware, the store is packed on football Saturdays.

My husband spent the first 2 years of his undergraduate time at Pellissippi State Community College. He liked it so much because of its size, convenient location, convenient parking and the dedication of the professors. He felt all his professors really cared and had interest in him doing well. He also thought that the cafeteria had good food - which is usually hard to find in an institutional setting. He was sad when he had to transfer to UT.

I took my dogs here for year on referral from friends. However, everytime they had problems, I seemed to be paying out the wazoo for stuff that I didn't feel really needed to be done. But I felt obligated to let them run endless tests and put my animals on endless special diets that I could only buy from them. When one of the vets left and started her own practice, I began to take my dogs to her. So, while the vets are good, they are a little to thorough for me pocketbook.

I have been seeing Dr. Lain for about 3 years because he was a provider on my insurance plan. However, I think he is a really good doctor. He always takes time during the appointment to ask me how my eyes have been and if I have any questions about new products on the market. He even makes notes in your chart about what is going on in your life so that he has something to talk to you about. There prices are pretty average for our area - but I can still get my contacts cheaper at Wal-mart. I highly recommend Dr. Lain.

Parkway Dental has a new office that has been open approximately a year. It is really pretty and looks expensive. There are 2 male dentists in this group and they are both very nice. I never seem to have to wait long to get back to get my teeth cleaned, however it does take a long time to get an appointment unless it is an emergency. They seem to be on most insurance plans but ask before you make an appointment.

I got married and had my reception here in 2001. It was wonderful. The house and grounds are designed for such occassions. There are several tiers to the beautiful gardens on the back of the house down to the Tennessee River. The colors are so pretty there isn't a need to spend a lot of money on flowers to decorate. It also lends itself to tons of beautiful pictures. The staff was great to work with. My only complaint is that there is very little parking and you don't get enought time in your rental allotment. Give it a look-see if you are planning a Knoxville wedding.

My wonderful husband got me a gift certificate for Christmas to Spa Visage. My experience there was wonderful. When you arrive they show you to the changing room and give you your robe and slippers. Once you have changed, you go the a room where peaceful music is playing and there are aromatherapy scents in the air and peaceful picture books to look at. Your massage therapists comes to get you and takes you off for your massage. It was a wonderful experience and I would recommend it to anyone who needs a little stress relief. Isn't that everyone?

My son goes to KPA at their Cross Park Office. This group saw him in the hospital and was highly recommend by friends. On our first visit, we had a guided tour by one of the nurses who explained all the policies and procedures and how the visits would go. They have a dry erase board in the hallway so that you can see where you are in line. For the first year, they recommend that you see several of their docs until you find one that you love. Then you can make specific appointments with him/her. They have a well side and a sick side which is nice and the staff is very friendly and helpful.
