Samy's Camera is always having sales with some of the best prices in town. Twice a year, usually around Christmas and Father's Day, they have a big sale that lasts 4 days with special doorbuster items at really bargain prices. The doorbusters are limited to less than 10 items per day, so people usually get there very early to wait in line for these specials. I have bought my last two cameras from Samy's as doorbuster specials which saved me a lot of money. They have a couple different locations in the Los Angeles area.

Whenever a good movie comes along, I enjoy watching it at this theater. Unlike your typical plain vanilla big box theater, what sets the Crest apart from the rest is the decor. The walls are decorated with a cityscape view to give you a feel of being in a city. When the lights go down, the buildings light up and the ceiling above turns into a starry night complete with shooting stars. This movie theater does not offer stadium seating. It is long and deep with a dip in the center. This layout can create a problem if a tall person sits in front of you.

I have visited the Harmony Gold Theater on a couple occasions to see a movie screening. It was always followed by a Question and Answer session with someone affiliated with the film. The quality of the projection and sound are very good. My only complaint is that the seats are old and uncomfortable and they do not offer much leg room between rows. Free parking is provided on the premises.

This historic venue in the city of Glendale showcases a wide variety of performing arts. I have been here a number of times to see an annual Christmas production, classical music symphonies, and a couple of stage shows. The television reality series "Last Comic Standing" was filmed here. All seats in the house provide an excellent view of the stage.

They have lots of fully restored classic vintage automobiles, famous cars from television and the movies, and scale models of some concept vehicles or prototype designs. The Getty Center is located on a hillside and is the most scenic and beautiful museum I have ever been to. The price is right with admission being free and parking costing just $7. The museum houses lots of art, paintings, sculptures, and antiques from all over the world in several buildings. It can take the better part of day to see everything. If you like, you can go sit on the patio, have something to eat, and watch the sunset. It is a great place to learn and relax.

I come here for haircuts because it is fast and cheap. A men's haircut is only 4 dollars which is the lowest price in town. There are only 3 hair stylists at any time and there is never more than 2 or 3 people waiting in line. When it is your turn, just tell them how short you want it cut and away they go. In about 10 minutes you are done. The staff speaks Chinese and English.

The can print your cards in English and Chinese. All you have to do is provide them with a written copy of what you want on the card. In a day or two they will create a proof for you to review. If everything looks fine they can process your final invitation in less than a week.

Tamara's Bridal carries a large variety of wedding gowns, bridesmaid’s dresses, flower girls dresses, and shoes at very reasonable prices. When you go there, you browse through the racks and select some gowns that you like. A sales person then helps you as you try them on. When you find something you like, they take your measurements and order it right way. It takes about a month for the dress to arrive since it has to be custom made. Once the dress is here, they will call you for a fitting. If you need alterations, they can have it done within a few days.
