This towing company services the South Pasadena area. I had the misfortune of being in a car accident and my insurance company sent Action Towing to my aid. The driver did a good job of hauling my vehicle away and cleaning up the debris left by the accident. My car went to their storage yard in South Pasadena. Their facility is very small and not too secure. When I went there a couple days later to inspect my vehicle and clean out any personal belongings, I discovered that my car battery had been switched with a dead battery. When I questioned Action Towing about this, they claimed no responsibility for doing it. I found that hard to believe. Luckily they didn't take my car radio, I guess that would have been too obvious.

The playing surface is relatively flat throughout the course with only a few trees and a couple sand traps. Green fees are a bargain. It is a good place for beginners and children who are just starting out. They also have a miniature golf course, but it is old and not maintained.

Don't let the small size fool you. Even though they are only as big as a 4 to 6 car garage, the mechanics are very efficient and do excellent work. All my friends with Nissans have been taking their car here and have received excellent service. They are honest, reputable, and cheaper than a car dealership.

During my school days many years ago, I remember visiting this store regularly with my friends. We would spend a lot of time combing through the used record albums (back in those days, CD’s had not come out yet) looking for bargains. At that time, used music was a novel concept and Poo-Bah was located in a rickety old building that use to be a house. With the changing times, they have moved to a better location and do carry CD's now. What hasn't changed is the concept of used music and the racks or bins you have to search through to find things.

One day I finally checked out the store when I happened to be in the area. I did find some rather spectacular prices on electronics, but most of these tended to be older models that had been out for quite a while. The bottom line is if you are not looking for the latest technology, then you can get some pretty good deals.

The Star Club is a "hole in the wall" electronics store. Don't let the appearance fool you, they actually carry some pretty nice, high end, quality stuff. The store may be small and cramp, but this makes their overhead cost low which passes the savings on to you by keeping prices down. There is no haggling on prices, they are usually at the rock bottom. Just do you homework before hand.
