The Maui Humane Society helps out felines and canines who have been abandoned or abused. Once they are back in shape, and checked out by their vet, these cats and dogs are available for adoption. They have to be spayed or neutered before leaving. It's amazing what people leave behind; I have found some great pets here and they always show their appreciation for having been taken home with me.
