This could be such a great zoo - it's really updated and has a great selection of animals. The problem is that it gets so crowded and the crowd can be a bit wild at times. Lots of large school or camp groups. It's a shame because the animals are wonderful - they've got everything you'd want to see.

I used to take my first child her all the time. It's great fun with lots of hands on activities for the kids. They change things on a fairly regular basis so if you haven't been for a few months there will likely be something new but it seems the kids are happy doing the same thing over and over again. By about 5 or so it gets a bit boring. It's $8 for adults and kids - under 1s are free.

This is a great museum if you're interested in the history of life in New York. Even if you're not you might become interested. It's got great photos of old New York, even a exhibit on toys. It's not in the most central of locations (5th & 103rd) but it's easy to get to and it's only $7 to get in so it's cheap by NY standards.

This is a great zoo to have right in the middle of New York City. It's somewhat small compared to other zoos but it's got a lot to offer and is great to take the kids without the hassle of going up to the Bronx zoo. My favorites are the polar bears and penguins. Cool birds too. There is a small children's zoo nearby that's worth it for the little ones.

They've got a great selection from around the world. They have a good price range - from under ten dollars to prices beyond my budget. Very knowledgeable staff - great recommendations and always helpful. Give them a try.

I've taken my kids here for hair cuts a few times but I have to say I find this to be one of the most annoying places on earth. So many people, so much noise, so little room to walk around, so many toys for the kids to want to buy. Why can't kids just get a haircut and get out like the used to. I guess it keeps the kids busy but what is this world coming to...... Oh, and it's expensie too -- $28 - that's more than I pay!!

Very creative designs when you want to spend the money or just good basic flowers what that's what you want.

It's got a wide variety of good - clothing, books, art, etc. Some interesting things and possibly some good finds to be had. You won't get a rare find at dirt cheap prices - they know what they're selling.
