This is a pretty decent place to eat...nice and quiet, good service, good food. I've gone there once are twice and I really must say it was good. The only gripe I have about the place, and it's a rather large gripe, are the prices. You can expect to play $15-20 a plate on food, which is about average, but the drinks are what's obscene...$3.00 a cup for soda, and they charge you for each refill. Wine, beer, actual drinks? Forget it...they'll run you a good $8 to $10 a piece. You just might end up paying close to what you spend on food on drinks. Sorry, but that's just crazy. Oh, and like most places they charge you if you're going to bring a cake or whatever for someone's birthday. Last I checked it was something like $5 a slice of YOUR OWN CAKE.

So, they and Zagat claim that "Only God Makes Better Pizza." That's something of a stretch. I'll hand it to them, their mozzarella is fresh and is excellent, the crust is almost perfect, and everything is cooked just right, but the sauce definately leaves something to be desired. It's just way too bland. Anyway, it's definately worth getting, bland sauce or not.

Now this pizza is much better than the crap in New Fairfield...the pizza's always fully cooked, but never burnt; has the really thin crust, and the cheese is never that disgustingly greasy stuff. While it still doesn't compare, it's as close to New York pizza as I've ever had up here. The other stuff that they have is usually pretty good, though I think they put a little too much garlic on their garlic bread, and I don't really like how they shread the meat in their wedges/heroes, or whatever you wanna call them. Of course, that's just being picky, because the stuff still does taste good. I really don't have any complaints....oh, wait, just one...while it shouldn't be too much of a problem, they do have a $20 minumum for delivery, but delivery is still free.

I don't go there too often, but when I do it's a lot better than going to Staples or Office Max. It's nice and small, and they everything you need. Sure, you might pay a little bit of a premium compared to the chain stores, but like I said they always seem to have everything is stock and they have a lot of little things that the larger stores don't. That, and the people running the place don't seem like a bunch of drones.

I;d say this is pretty much your typical buffet. Plenty of chinese food and chicken, an ice cream machine, unlimited refills on soda, all the usual. The one thing that I did like, and I think I have the right place here, is that they had fresh meats in the back. When I say fresh meat, I mean they had a giant leg of ham in the back with a guy there cutting it up for whoever wanted some. Certainly not something I've seen at most places.

Keeping with pretty much every other store on LBI, the place really isn't all the great, and selection can be somewhat limited as well as more expensive than back home. Anyway, compared to most other places on the island this one isn't all that terribly bad with the rpices, though they are higher than off island. If you cared to spend the time, you'd be better off going off island to Walmart or Kmart and getting a a bunch of DVD's, or better yet just brining your own. 2 day rentals just don't do it for me...

I'll make this short and quick:
Their selection sucks; they can't have more than 200 movies
All the older movies seem to be on VHS
Definately not the place for video games....they have more N64 games for rent than they do for Xbox!!!
New movies (new being relative here, meaning anything that's come out within the last 3 or 4 months) are due back the next day. With Blockbuster allowing you to keep movies, even new ones, up to a week, and Netflix allowing you to keep anything for as long as you want, why bother?
When it comes to renting movies, go with Netflix. If you insist on going with a brick and mortar store, Blockbuster. But since the closest Blockbuster is over in Brewster, NY, which is 10 to 15 minutes away, definately go with Netflix.
